Fantastic flat in perfect area in Crete

We just spent two weeks in mid july 2009 in this brand new flat. We were three but it could accomodate up to 5-6 people. It was really perfect. It was the first time we were booking a flat like that and we were a bit worried before. When we discovered the flat, we were very happy to see that it was far better than we expected! This flat is great!
The location is very central to Agios Nikolaos but not too much, so it is quite during the night. Restaurants and bars are very close (you just walk there, no car needed). It is very near by a beach and it has a lovely swimming pool (in july it was not empty :-)).
The flat was huge : two rooms, three balconies, a big living room (TV, DVD player) and very well equipped kitchen. It is a big change when you compare to the tiny rooms you get in a hotel. To be honest we were going out to eat to the taverna most of the times but we organized some dinners there on the balcony, watching the sea. Very nice view on the bay. Most of all, all the rooms have very efficient and silent air conditionning which in Greece is very useful during the summer.
The owner was great with us, always ready to help. The first night, he showed us a little bit of the town and was very helpful with everything. The flat was cleaned twice a week and the owner and his wife have decorated it in a very nice way using ikea furniture.
In conclusion, I have to say that our holidays in Agios Nikolaos were great most of all because of this accomodation. The area is wonderful and the flat is localized in an area from where you can go everywhere in Mirabello bay (Elounda, Istro Bay, Mochlos, Ierapetra...) I definitly recommend this accomodation to friends, family, and everyone and I can't wait to come again to spend other holidays there.

Owner's Response: Sometimes we get clients that are not coming with a family but with friends. This time we had 3 nice guys from France that really liked night life and to stroll around the nice tavernas and kafeneon we have in Agios Nikolaos. If you are raised decent by you parents and you do not want to drive when you had some alcohol, this is of course THE apartment for you. It is just a 12 minutes walk to the trendy bars we have and no one bothers about the durance of the way back. It also happened that guests stayed on the way back some hours at Amoudi beach. During the night usable to relax, to swim, enjoy the sunset and so on. If you like ships, almost every day you see from the apartment cruise ships arriving at Agios harbor. It is really lovely to mingle with the passengers of these ships.
The pool of the apartment is really big, with nice sunbeds and lovely situated in the garden which is already full of trees and flowers because the apartmentbuilding is constructed in an already existing garden, which contributes a lot to the atmosphere of the property.
To be honest I think that we even can accommodate people who are using wheel-chairs, cause there is an elevator and there are no further obstructions in the apartment.
