The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed as well as bunkbeds equipped with their own book shelves for stowing favorite beach reads or maybe even some sea shells discovered while combing the beach. This room also boasts a flat-screen television and DVD player; a private bathroom with bathtub and shower; vanity and sink; and its own walk-in closet. Cotton, high thread-count linens and cotton towels are provided. Sporty, 4-seater golf cart is also included in the rental. Enjoy the many amenities Sandestin Resort affords: golf, a private beach with access to Finz Bar and Grill, a tiki bar, and chair/umbrella rental; biking and walking trails; two private pools; tennis; marina; miniature golf; parasailing; jet skiing; fishing; playground; retail and outlet shopping and The Village of Baytowne Wharf where you can ride the zipline, climb the ropes course, play in the arcade, enjoy live music and casual or fine dining.
This home-away-from-home is in a quiet cul-de-sac, perfect for children to ride bikes, play with sidewalk chalk, hopscotch, and our family-favorite: four-square. It is in a quiet, low-traffic area of Sandestin making it also perfect for evening strolls, golf cart cruises and sunset gazing.
This cottage is nicely decorated with comfortable beds and adequate bathrooms and kitchen. Our spring break group included myself, husband, and three teenagers. The large second bedroom with a queen plus bunks and a bathroom was perfect for the boys. The living area is comfortable with a nice TV, but only provides seating for 4. There was a decorated Christmas tree in the cottage in mid March which really made the space tight. The cottage is close to a very nice pool. The golf cart makes going to the beach, restaurants, and even the grocery store a fun adventure. Unfortunately, the batteries would not charge and we were without the cart for the first couple of days of our vacation. The owners were very responsive and got the cart fixed quickly but we felt the amenities should be checked before guests arrive. We missed a partial day Sat, Sun, Mon, and part of Tues with the cart. Only 3 of the 4 adult bikes were in working condition and the chain came off 1 of the working ones many times. We arrived at our destination with greasy hands several times. The beach set ups were deluxe and we enjoyed them at the beach. The private enclosed back yard was nice but the furniture was dirty and couldn't be used without a cleaning. The keys to everything were in a jumble in a kitchen drawer and you had to use the trial and error method to see what keys worked in what locks. We love the quieter side of San Destin and this cottage is a great value. We would definitely recommend this cottage but felt it needed a little TLC after the winter.
We love Sandestin and try a different place each year. Love to walk and Linkside lends itself to a nice hour stroll around the golf course. The unit was nice and clean, tastefully decorated and just plain "Homey". We didn't use the golf cart as short trips were done on foot and it was a bit nippy here in January. The neighbors both renters and permanent were very nice and the stay was peaceful. The only critique would be a information sheet as to where everything is located, key identifiers, battery charger location, wifi setup, everything one would need to know in one place. Kitchen was well equipped as we cook in a lot. Could use some more lighting in that area. Nice owners..Nice unit!
I have never stayed in a property this nice and clean! I was amazed. We have a 3 and 4 year old who loved the bunk beds and we had plently of room in the house to enjoy quiet times, play parties, etc. The Laundry was a plus for us as we were able to make the drive back to Texas without loads of dirty laundry. We LOVED being a little more secluded from the Destin beaches and still having access to everything. The provided golf cart was amazing! We hardly moved our car for our 4 day stay except to get groceries and drive to aquarium in Destin. Destin was an easy 20 min drive. We used golfcart for a 5 min drive to beach, and a 10 min drive to the Baytowne Wharf at night. Loved every minute of our stay and will look to only stay in this house when we return! Owners were pleasant and had all information ready to go. Thanks for the memories and amazing home!
This was the perfect beach home for our family. It is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with lakes and a community pool nearby. We really enjoyed having the golf cart, which made getting to the beach or to Baytowne very easy. Owners were very responsive and easy to work with. Can't wait to go back!
The Shabby Chic Beach Cottage served us well during our week long spring break. The cottage itself was clean and so nicely decorated. We (mom, dad, 9 and 6 year old) enjoyed riding bikes on the bike trail and around the resort. We also liked taking the golf cart to Baytowne Wharf and the beach. It was the perfect size and location for this family of 5 and 1 mother-in-law. Fantastic cottage all-around.
had a great time...excellent place to stay if you dont want the hussle and bussle...you can stay here in this closed gated community and go everywhere you pretty much need to in a golf cart. Had great time, will probably try to get this place again next year. Owners answered any questions I had quickly and even called the gatehouse a few weeks early when I was down there with friends and let me drive by the place.
