The flat has 2 bedrooms, sleeps up to 6 people and comes fully equipped. It is a very spacious, bright and modern flat. Has lots of character and benefits from traditional Mediterranean features like wooden floors, white walls, high ceilings and shuttered windows.

Recently decorated, it is located in an elegant neighborhood and overlooks a pretty lawned square with trees and benches.

It is in a quiet area yet within a 5 min walk you are in some of Lisbon’s best shopping areas with many restaurants, cafes, banks, cinemas, etc. Train and metro stations providing quick access to all that Lisbon has to offer are less than 10 minutes away on foot.

LOVELY LISBON APPT

This is a really nice appt , well kept and comfortable , light and airey . The owner Pedro was very friendly and helpful and speaks fantastic english which was a big help for my 73 year old father . It is in a good location in a quiet family neighbourhood but 5 minutes walk to the nearest metro ( then 15 mins to the centre of Lisbon ) .Also , lots of supermarkets and cafes/ restaurants very close by . If you want to get away from the sometimes bland experience of staying in a hotel and experiencing a genuine Lisbon neighbourhood , this is a good bet . Will most certainly stay here again soon .

A REAL HOME IN LISBON

If you need/want a place which would be more than just some room to lay down your head at night and if you like to do it an apartment that is rewarding by itself - that’s the place!
In a spatious, bright place in a residential area not far from the centre and with all equipment in the apartment that you need even for a longer stay you really have a feeling that you live in Lisbon not just taking a holiday.

This 1930s’ apartment is refurbished but maintained all important features of the original one. Wonderful balance between old and new, many details that you keep discovering during your stay. Great touch for decoration and even IKEA pieces don’t look like ones. For architecture fans there are also architectural magazines in the apartment so you can get an overview of architectural scene in Portugal.

The apartment itself is in very quiet area but just around the corner there are some of the main business/shopping areas. The place is also very well connected to the centre and other parts of town (Amoreiras, Benfica, Parque des Naciones ...). You can catch buses from three different places (Arco Cego, Av. da Republica, Praca de Londres, 5-10’). Also the metro (2 different lines) is quite close (Saldanha and Alameda, 10’+). But many things are actually within the walking distance: from supermarket (5’) to all kind of shops and service where you can do your shopping or have lunch on/near Avenida de Roma and Avenida da Republica (10’).

Last but not least! Pedro, the owner, is communicative (but not intrusive) guy, very responsive answering our questions prior to our arrival. He is the kind of person who can handle all sorts of wishes and make things work for very different kind of people. Just as he did in the apartment. We’ll sure stay there again.

I am very happy to know you had a good time in Lisbon. Looks like you also made the best of what this apartment has to offer: great location, character, lots of space and light, a homely feeling and good access to anywhere in Lisbon! I imagine it was also nice for your daughter that there were no big stairs and lifts to go up after a day out.

I am so happy you thought that a stay at the apartment was like living as a 'Lisboeta' rather than as a tourist.

GOOD ACCOMODATION PLACE IN LISBON

We had a good stay in the flat in Rue Gomes da Silva. We were the 3 of us and had more than enough space in that commodious appartement. It is well-decorated, clean and welcoming. The kitchen was not that clean (handles were a bit sticky) but ok and convenient for a short stay (no dishwasher but oven, stove, kettle,...).
The flat is located 5 minutes away from Campo Pequeno metro station. So it is easy to move from there to anywhare in Lisbon. But it is not a good location if you want to have restaurants and bars right outside your flat. You have to take the metro. At night, the easiest way to come back is by taxi and this is very fast and cheap.
In brief, I would for sure recommand this appartement to friends visiting Lisbon.

GOOD LOCATION, SPACIOUS APARTMENT

This is good apartment in a quiet residential neighbourhood. It's an old building, in an area of architectural interest. The apartment itself is stylish, and spacious. It is quiet, and away from the city but travel in is very easy and cheap - we tended to use the bus. We didn't meet the owner, and didn't manage to get a problem with a door knob (couldn't shut one bedroom door) and a light sorted out - we were there for more than a week - but otherwise everything was fine. You'll be advised to get there by cab from the airport which costs about 15€. The owner will give you a good map for finding the building.

There is a small local cafe just down the road which is great for breakfast, and plenty of supermarkets for food. Local restaurants are cheaper than the city centre, we recommend the Paladar Zen - vegetarian buffet but very good even if you're not a veggie. And relatively new on the scene, the 'we hate tourism' tours are wonderful - we did the all day trip to Sintra. The Gulbenkian is close-by, and a great place to chill-out on a hot day.

This is an excellent apartment for a family, for a city-break or for a longer stay as a base to explore Lisbon and its vicinity.

A GREAT HOLIDAY

We stayed in this lovely apartment in June 2011 i have to say the apartment was better than the pictures portray. It is located only 5-10 minutes away from 2 or 3 metro stops, very close to a range of different places to eat out, close to shops and parks. It is only a 10 minute journey in a taxi to the airport. When we got to the apartment we were made very welcome and given maps of the local area which were very helpful. If you are like us and are looking for a nice clean apartment, sort of like a home away from home, then this is the apartment for you.

PLEASANT STAY IN SPACIOUS APARTMENT

Just returned from a 4 day break in Lisboa with my wife and 22 month old daughter. Overall we had a lovely trip in a fabulous city. Pedro's apartment was as described: light and airy with plenty of room for the three of us including our daughter who wasted little time exploring all the rooms as soon as we arrived. The location was ideally positioned just outside the centre of the city and with the excellent transport links it was easy to get around and explore from the apartment. I would certainly recommend a stay here.

The flat is ideally located in a quiet, leafy residential area surrounded by some of Lisbon's busiest shopping and business areas. Within a 5 minute walk you will find yourself in fashionable Guerra Junqueiro Street with many high street shops, like Zara, Benetton or Mango, popular outdoor restaurants and cafes, supermarkets, banks, chemists, etc !
