Easy access for kayaking. Main house has 2 BR 1BA and kitchen; attached cottage has 1BR 1BA.
About Locke Jaeger

For 40 years our family has spent New Year's Eve on North Beach. When allowed the opportunity to have a vacation home in Inverness we knew it was perfect! We love how close this is to the East Bay and to San Francisco. A complete retreat away from the hustle and bustle, but we can still get back to it if we need to. This house has been a great family retreat, for hiking, going to the beach or just being together for meals, reading books, watching movies and playing games. We're happy to share it with you.

This wonderful retreat is multi-generationally owned and passed from friends to friends and not placed on the market. Whether it's raining out or sunny, or cold and foggy, waking up in Inverness you feel relaxed after a quiet night's sleep.

What makes this house unique

We love walking up to the house, opening the front door and.....walking onto the deck! It always surprises people to open the front door and to be on the deck and seeing the view of beautiful Tomales Bay. We can walk to Chicken Ranch beach in 1 minute, 10 minutes to Shell Beach and it's a short drive to any number of ocean beaches or hiking trails. A 10 minute drive to Pt. Reyes station.

Pt Reyes National Seashore offers tons of hiking and beaches. Blue Waters Kayaking has kayaks for rent just a 5 minute walk away. The town of Inverness and Pt. Reyes Station offer multiple choices of restaurants, farmers markets, shopping, artist studios, bookstores, and the Dance Palace offers theater and music events. Petaluma is a 45 minute drive away to movies cinemas, antiquing and many other options. And of course, there is all of Marin County and San Francisco for even more!

A wonderful time exploring Inverness!

My friends and I stayed here in early February and had a wonderful time exploring Inverness! We found the place without difficulty and everything was prepared for our arrival. The place is spacious and didn't feel cramped even with a big group. We walked to the general store and explored the local library and cooked many meals in their incredible, fully-stocked kitchen. We were armed with a helpful instruction list of how to get there, how to turn on the heaters, etc. We never got to meet Locke, but it is obvious that this place gets a lot of love and care from her. Definitely the best airbnb experience I've had so far!

My family had a great time in Locke's lovely, charming home. The kitchen was fully equipped--complete with oyster shuckers and several types of coffee machines. We used the lift for my father and she walked me through how to use it the day before I arrived and also left detailed notes. She was accessible over the phone and via text. It's a great, spacious place!

This vintage Inverness home is within walking distance of Chicken Ranch Beach, has stunning views from the large deck and functions well for a group of six. The house was clean (no smells) even though it is dog-friendly. The central heating worked great for a cozy December stay. We will be back.

truly a beach house

Wonderful location, great views, truly a "beach" house with great deck, lots of space. A great house for family gathering. A few steps from dog friendly beach. Our family loved it and preferred it to other rentals that we have used. We would definitely return. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking gadgets.
