Guestbook comments from the owner
Locke was great to work with! Very responsive and offered great tips for things to do in the area. The house was lovely and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, blender, coffee maker, and even an espresso machine! The deck is amazingly huge, and there was plenty of room for everyone with a living room, dining room, 2 bedrooms and a whole extra cottage. I definitely recommend Locke and her home!

For 40 years our family has spent New Year's Eve on North Beach. When allowed the opportunity to have a vacation home in Inverness we knew it was perfect! We love how close this is to the East Bay and to San Francisco. A complete retreat away from the hustle and bustle, but we can still get back to it if we need to. This house has been a great family retreat, for hiking, going to the beach or just being together for meals, reading books, watching movies and playing games. We're happy to share it with you.

Locke Jaeger purchased this house in 2005

This wonderful retreat is multi-generationally owned and passed from friends to friends and not placed on the market. Whether it's raining out or sunny, or cold and foggy, waking up in Inverness you feel relaxed after a quiet night's sleep.

We love walking up to the house, opening the front door and.....walking onto the deck! It always surprises people to open the front door and to be on the deck and seeing the view of beautiful Tomales Bay. We can walk to Chicken Ranch beach in 1 minute, 10 minutes to Shell Beach and it's a short drive to any number of ocean beaches or hiking trails. A 10 minute drive to Pt. Reyes station.

Beautiful view!

  • 5 of 5
The view from the deck was gorgeous! I loved the cottage separate from the main house but still sharing the deck- that way you feel like you're away w/out being excluded from the main house. The kitchen was stocked w/ every imaginable tool you would need to make a variety of foods. The houses were amazing and well taken care of and right across from a small beach w/ lots of seashells! Thanks for sharing your house w/ us.

Perfect size for all 6 of us and our lab retriever. Highlight was the kayaking! Also recommend ice cream at Cowgirl Creamery. Thanks Locke for the exceptional memories.

Exceeded all expectations

  • 5 of 5
My group of six (+small dog) stayed here for a near-by wedding. I love the layout of this home: large deck, separate cottage, very large common area. It was a wonderful place to reconnect with some long-time friends. It also felt very private, which was nice.

Locke provided very clear and helpful information for our stay.

Bonus: Plenty of driveway parking.

Highly recommend!

Really wonderful, scenic home

  • 5 of 5
I and several friends (6 total) rented this place to attend a wedding in the Inverness area. It was great by all measures for our stay. The house has plenty of the necessaries such as towels, bed sheets, cups, dishes, TP, etc. There is also plenty of firewood for the fireplaces. The view looking out any window of the house is amazing, and having brunch on the outside deck was so nice we didn't really feel we even needed to go exploring to find scenic views.

All in all, everything ran very smoothly and we would definitely stay here again if/when we come back for another visit.

Wonderful weekend

A lovely respite from the city, with sweeping views of Tomales Bay and the best-equipped kitchen we have ever had in a vacation rental. Simple to open and close, comfortable to use. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

Amazing location! Comfortable Accommodations!

  • 4 of 5
Loved our stay at this property. The huge deck overlooking Tomales Bay is pretty much what I'd want to wake up to every day for the rest of my life. Stayed for a weekend for a girls' retreat and we loved it. There's a little separate cabin with a murphy bed that's really cute and would be great for a couple or a semi-independent teen who doesn't want to stay in the main house with the adults. Loved that it was dog friendly :) Would definitely stay again!
