This waterfront 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment has been completely refurbished to the highest standard and is a 1km stroll from vibrant Kotor Old Town. A former captain's stone cottage it is located 5 metres from the calm waters of Kotor Bay which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The apartment is 81 square metres and features a wealth of exposed stone in all rooms and is air-conditioned and centrally heated. There is a fantastic, large, enclosed, gated 42 square metres sun terrace partially shaded by an historic grapevine by day and fully lit at night, with a barbecue and seating with table. It has a fitted kitchen offering every luxury and the owners also offer a free transfer to/from Tivat airport which is 5km away. Approved by the official Montenegro Tourist Board with a 4-Star Rating (highest rating).

Dobrota is a beautiful village 1km outside the vibrant Kotor Old Town. Located in the sunniest section of the stunning Bay, Dobrota is renowned by the locals as a historic village that is fully serviced by restaurants, bars and great swimming and fishing areas directly in front of the apartment. From the apartment, there are 3 and 4 star restaurants within a 200 metre stroll, as well as a Bayside bar and a local corner shop 50 metres away. Restaurants serve local seafood, meat and vegetables and all food in Montenegro is produced organically. Kotor Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage site and there are walking tours to the historic fortress. A sailing club is within easy walking distance, with boat hire and excursions available.

  • Prices are for the property per week in Euros. Prices are based on 4 sharing. For additional guests, 50 Euros per week per guest is charged. Payment can be made via bank transfer in Euros.

    A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a booking, with the remainder payable 4 weeks before your stay. A 150 Euro returnable deposit is required upon arrival, to be held by the Apartment Manger during your stay, to cover any material damage.

    Discounts for stays of more than two weeks are available upon request. Please enquire regarding shorter stays as there may be some flexibility.
  • Preferred changeover day is Sunday, although there may be some flexibility. Checkout is usually by midday and check-in after 16:00.

Notes: The apartment is equipped to the highest standard. The fully fitted kitchen has a halogen hob, electric fan assisted oven, fridge with Icebox, front loading 5kg automatic washing machine, dishwasher, 700w microwave, electric jug kettle, toaster and digital safe. Delightful living/dining room with traditional exposed stone walls and lighted recesses, TV with satellite and CD/DVD player, leather sofa bed and 2 chairs, glass topped dining table and 4 rattan chairs. Outside there is a wonderful enclosed fully lit 42 square metre terrace with built in BBQ and shower so that guests can enjoy both the water and outdoor lifestyle. Quality bathroom towels and bed linen are included. Bed linen is changed weekly and towels changed twice weekly. The apartment and terrace are also cleaned weekly. The apartment is suitable for families or couples; the apartment owners are English and the Manager lives locally and speaks excellent English.

Coast/Beach: The apartment is 5 steps from the Bay which has clean sea water up to 25 metres deep which is safe and calm enough to swim and fish. Dobrota has the most hours of sunlight in the Bay, to maximise those long swimming days.

Travel: Tivat aiport 5km, Dubrovnik Aiport 70km, Podgorica airport 80km, Bar and Kotor Port has an overnight Ferry crossing to Bari Port in Italy.

Excellent location, apartment as described

I was amazed by the recent review - the apartment was very nice, I agree the terrace could have done with a jet wash and maybe some new outside furniture but this was more than made up for by the location, and the apartment interior. We had a lovely stay and would definitely go back. The bay of Kotor is simply stunning and the apartment was definitely the best out of the two we stayed in in Montenegro, it beat the other one hands down.
Recommended for:  Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

We spent a great week in your flat during June 2009. The flat and its location is perfect if you like to have a peace full time and still within a short walking distance from Kotor. The flat is very well equipped, and we had everything we needed to make the stay pleasent. The care taker lives next door and was very helpful. She provided us with info and maps for Montenegro and made it much easier for us to find the best beaches and sights. When we mentioned that the some of the kitchen equipment needed to be replace we found already the new utensils the following day. The location is also perfect for day trips all over Montenegro and we found some fantastic beaches within a 30 min car trip. Spending evenings in old Kotor was also an experience we would like to recommend.
