31538 Cove Road, Ottertail, MN (Ottertail County)

3 miles east of Ottertail, MN, on highway 108 to Cove Road, south ½ mile to the Y, turn left, first place. Fire # is 31538.

MAIN CABIN (Rustic, '50)

2 bedrooms, one with king size bed, one with 1 twin And 2 bunks.

Full bath (remodeled)

Kitchen + annex room (remodeled) living room

Enclosed porch (facing lake)

Patio, including a table and 4 chairs (facing lake)

GUEST CABIN

1 large bedroom (2 full beds), and roll-away.

SHORE (200+ ft.)

On West Leaf Lake, clear, quiet, 640 acres, near

Ottertail, MN

Reeds, rushes, cattails, water lilies off shore

Excellent swimming beach 1 mile away

Dock & lift (on walk-out level with cabins), that

accommodates your own boat or canoe.

A fishing boat and a pontoon may be rented on the lake.

MISC Hammock, large yard, mature shade trees, various

Waterfowl may be spotted on a quiet evening.

Occasionally seen are beaver and muskrat.

Yard games, bocce ball, and croquet available.

Beautiful lakes nearby (Ottertail, Buchanan, Rush,

East and West Battle,), great fishing, dining,

golf, antique and gift shops. A large vegetable farm is nearby that sells fresh produce.

About Del Meyer

The cabin was first purchased by my wife and I in 1998 while I was serving as a pastor in a nearby church. After visiting numerous cabins we were drawn to this one because of its beauty and warmth. The cabin exudes peace and warmth and was a great get away for our family. Now that I have retired and my family has grown up, Jan and I want to share our peaceful place with others. I have always found the cabin porch which is so close to the edge of the water to be especially relaxing.

Del Meyer purchased this cabin in 1998

cozy old cabin, stuffed with knick knacks, pretty little lake loaded with bluegills, some nice largemouth bass, lots of weedy areas. Serene sitting area, screened porch for more bug free sitting, the loons, ospreys, herons, hummingbirds and eagles in constant motion.......

I am pleased to offer my strong endorsement of a warm and inviting vacation spot.

There is first the quietness. This unique "home away from home" offers a sublime place of restful retreat. I love the long driveway, the sheltering trees, the cozy "corner of the lake" to luxuriate in a calmness which is untouched by the frenzy of so many schedules.

Then there is the convenience. A beautiful setting for strolls, fishing, family-fun, and an "easy" ambience where you know that the owner takes care of the place. Quality, beauty, and durability is at your finger tips.

I also love the well-maintained facilities. These people know how to cater to the need for relaxation which respects simple indulgences such as reclining chairs in a shaded porch close to the waters edge.

This is an amazing place for relaxation, renewal, and peace. You will want to return once you have experienced the stuff out of which an authentic vacation is made.
