The apartment is located in Schwerin in Brandenburg. Schwerin with its lakes belongs to the popular Dahme lake region and is about 35min from Berlin centre. 20 km south of Berlin on the highway A13, exit Gross Kooris, but is also easily reachable by train or bus. You can reach Berlin comfortably with public transportation. Spreewald with its many recreational facilities is also only a stone's throw away. Even the Saxon city of Dresden with its tourist attractions like Frauenkirche, Dresden Zwinger, can be reached well after an hour's drive. During bad weather after 20min drive on A13 towards Dresden the visit to Tropical Island of Europe's largest roofed glass hall with palm trees and Caribbean design is wonderful. Swimming, sauna, snacks, simply perfect. Shopping facilities (bakery, supermarket) are available in the area. The apartment is located directly at the lake and fishing is therefore possible straight from the shore. It is the quietest lake which is part of a chain of lakes which can all be explored by boat. Now in autumn and winter months you can feel like the clocks are running some what slower than in other places. In short it is purely relaxing.
Fishing license can be easily obtained in this place. The same is possible with the utilisation of the catch (smoking oven, freezer
place for slaughtering). Fish varieties that are good to catch (wall-eye,eel,pike,perch,carp,catfish).Top predatory fish area.
