Holiday Summer 2009
Review Submitted: November 18, 2009
Date of Stay: August 2009
We stayed in this Villa with Family and Friends for two weeks in August 2009. The Urbanisation where the villa is situated is a loverly peaceful place, far enough away from the town to be quiet but also within walking distance (about 20 mins along a dirt track into town) if you wanted. We walked into town several times and apart from on the hottest days found the walk quite plesant. There is a steep hill to walk down / up though and the track is not suitable for people with wheel chairs / prams.
The Villa it's self was a plesant, modern villa with all the things in it you would require to make a home from home. It is a large villa with a loverly outside pool area and a fantastic pool for the family. I especially liked the covered area at the end of the garden. Disapointly the grassed area to the side of the villa had been left to totally dry up and the grass had turned to sand. In the pics this looked like a nice second outside place to sit but could not be used during our stay. Additionally for a totally honest review I would have to add the following, The Villa is a modern luxary building that had been initially decorated to a high standard, All of the guests in our party noticed that the upkeep could have been better with regard to the painting. Areas of the villa had been "touched up" with what clearly looked like the wrong paint, additionally general maintenance could have been better, many of the lamps in light fittings did not work and the loverly external eating area had down lighters for at night, however the light switch had been damaged prior to our arrival and we could not benefit from this feature fully.
However these were no more then general maintenance issues and did not spoil the holiday for us, just general comments I would like to raise in an honest review.
All in all we had a plesant holiday and would consider staying in this villa in the future.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your honest review and we are pleased that you had a lovely holiday at our villa and would consider returning.

We are looking to lay the new style of all weather grass which does not depend on being watered and is not effected by the high temperatures and dryness of the summer months on the Costa Brava.
If for any reason we are unable to lay this, we plan to re-turf the garden areas with a hardier type of grass and replace the current water sprinkling system.
We introduced colour paint to most of the rooms, rather than leaving the villa with plain, white walls. Because the villa is so full of light, many of the walls have faded in colour and when we use the original paint to 'touch up', it has not always blended in to a perfect match. During the winter we will endeavour to repaint the walls a plain white. This will also help when it comes to 'touching up' the knocks and marks that happen during a season.
We have always invited clients to contact us or our Housekeeper if there are any maintenance problems, so that we have the opportunity to put them right. We can now understand that not all faults cause a problem for some clients, therefore they have not always been reported immediately. However, this means that for the next clients they may be a problem that they have now inherited.
For next season we will provide a 'Maintenance Log Book' for clients to record any maintenance problems. This can be checked on each changeover and the necessary work carried out.
