Peace and Serenity on Vashon

My boyfriend and I were looking to kick back and recharge for the second to last night of our vacation. We had just returned to Seattle from a very, busy weekend in Portland socializing and wanted some place quiet with our little Beagle for the night. Our last-minute-day-of-stay, July 3 reservation couldn't have been less hassle due to Hillary's low-key, responsive, communication. She advised there may be noise early the next morning due to boats collecting in the harbor for July 4th festivities. As it turned out, there wasn't, but it was considerate of her to give us a heads up in case it might impact our decision to stay. That kind of thoughtfulness and attention to guests' needs was apparent. The apartment is light and bright, very clean, comfortable and beautifully situated with lovely water views of Quartermaster Harbor. The hot tub was perfect and robes were provided (a nice touch) as was a log to burn for the fireplace. Located in the charming hamlet of Burton, you can walk a scenic 3 mile loop and access trails used by locals, almost right from the property. Downtown Vashon is a short drive away. For paddle boarders, kayakers or beach combers (when the tide is out) the water is right at your doorstep. The hosts are warm and welcoming and then out of sight so you can enjoy your privacy. Though it was a flying visit for us, we would come again and feel the apartment offers the relaxed and laid back vibe that people seek from Vashon Island.
