A walk through the forest from the villa to the nearby village of Donon, brings you to the coast of Vela and some stunning cliff top walks, high above the pounding Atlantic Ocean, seemingly a world away from the serenity of the villa and the tranquil beaches. From the top of Mount Facho, you can enjoy exceptional views, out towards the islands and on a clear day it is possible to see the bays of Vigo, Alden, Pontevedra and Villagarcia. Definitely one of the must see sites to visit in this area, is at the top of Mount Facho, the Celta Castro (Celtic Village) this settlement is currently being excavated. Following the Vela coast path will lead you to Melide beach, an unspoilt wilderness situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Leaving the villa and heading towards Cangas, you can visit the small village of Hio with its historic church and the beautiful carved cruceiro (way side cross) considered to be the best example of its kind in Galicia.
