Climate / Environment: WINTER is short, December-February, and is often Sunny & warm by day - cooler in the evenings. This is an excellent time for touring, visiting historical Malaga, Granada, Sevilla, Ronda avoiding the Summer traffic! Snow & frosts are never experienced on the coast, temperature rarely drops below 55°f. It´s usually possible to eat in the garden, even at Christmas! SPRING late February - May. Temperature starts to warm and feels like the British Summer, evenings are light. SUMMER June - September, hot & dry - NO rain. AUTUMN October/Nov.,like British Summer - still warm, cooler in the evenings

Local Area: The apartment is ideally situated for sightseeing with many beautiful and interesting places Cartama is a 20 mins drive with good Sunday market. Coin 20-25 mins drive with large shopping mall and cinema. Alhora 30 min drive with interesting castle. Mijas 25- 30 mins drive with its pretty whitewashed houses, bars, shops restaurants, donkey rides. El Chorro gorge & dam with Ardales lakes 30-40 mins drive. The gorge is spectacular. The lakes are beautiful and a great picnic spot.

Beaches: Within easy reach of the apartment are the coastal towns of BENALMADENA COSTA & TORREMOLINOS. Benalmadena is approx. 15 mins. drive from the apartment and has several beautiful beaches. Near the beach is the huge Parque de la Paloma (Dove´s Park), with unique and attractive attractions,a semi-free bird zoo and open air Auditorium with dolphins and penguins. PUERTA MARINA, the beautiful port of Benalmadena has many good restaurants, bars and interesting shops.TIVOLI THEME PARK. TORREMOLINOS has beautiful beaches excellent restaurants right on the beach that specialise in sea food. The main shopping area is Calle San Miguel and is well-known for it´s many interesting shops. The CROCODILE PARK is on the outskirts of Torremolinos with the Great WATER PARK right next door.

Stayed in this beautiful villa at the end of July 2009. Lovely views and very private. The heated pool was a great advantage for the kids. The inside of the villa was great we couldn'd fault it and the barbecue area was nice and we took advantage of this on a few occasions during our stay. We actually met one of the owners and he was a great help to us. The only disadvantage was that the villa was a good walk to the shops but other than that really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone.

This villa worked very well indeed for our group (2 couples and 3 single adults & baby). It can comfortably accommodate 8, but two of the rooms work better as twins. The living room and main bedroom are air conditioned, which was fantastic as it meant we could put the baby to sleep in the living room as the kitchen is separate and the outdoor space is so amazing that noone wanted to use the living room anyway! The inside of the villa is very good quality, traditional Spanish style, but the real reason to rent this villa is the outdoor space - a beautiful pool with lawn around it and funky sunbeds, a shaded gazebo dining area, a functional poolside table & a quiet bench area in the garden...not to mention the numerous lime trees, pine trees, avery, avocado, fig trees...all excellently maintained. The house is detached with no neighbours overlooking and is very peaceful and has been designed as a traditional Spanish home, rather than a holiday rental. That means it is well designed for the sunshine hours and the shade & is very relaxing in the exquisite gardens. Location is ideal for proximity to airport and coast and facilities of the costa, yet quietly hidden away. It is walking distance (but a long walk down a big hill) into the pueblo, but much more sensible to rent a car and explore the wider area or simply enjoy the villa gardens.

We stayed here at the end of June and loved every minute. The Villa is really nice. The rooms are all a decent size. You have Air Con in the main bedroom and in the Lounge. There is Sky TV with BBC for those that want to chill inside for a bit.

The pool is a decent size and thats where we spent most of the time as it gets very hot, mainly at around 4pm!!
If its sun you want then you can catch it right up until 9pm. We spent most nights having a BBQ and just sitting watching the Sun go down.

The owners comes back most days for 30 mins to clean the pool and the surroundings but never came in the Villa. Very nice people.

The old town is about a 5\10 min drive but a 30 min walk downhill. I would recommend getting a taxi back up if you do walk it!!. Only about 8 Euros. Its well worth going down there as the town is very nice. Make sure if you cant speak Spanish you have your phrase book as the locals dont really speak much English, which is quite nice to be honest.

As we spent most of our time in the Villa I cant really advise on places to see etc.. but I am sure you can find these on the Internet.

I would definately recommenbd this place to friends and cant wait to get back there.

Well maintained villa

Over all this property is in a excellent condition and the garden as well as the swimming pool is maintained daily. The views are spectacular. A perfect family holiday home. The only down side to this villa is that the property only has one shower room, you probably can imagine how long you would have to wait if your the 8th person to have a shower even though theres an extra outdoor shower by the pool. would definately recommend this property to others, the owners are very pleasant and approachable. would be going back
Owner's Response: At the moment there is one bathroom plus a seperate toilet.
A further bathroom is planned for the future.
