The house is located within a few walking blocks of downtown Silver City; close to restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, stores and the community co-op. The one bedroom house has a king-size bed, plenty of closet and storage space, fully equipped kitchen, living room with enclosed patio, shower and tub, washer, dryer and internet hookup. There is a large yard and garden with off street parking.
I grew up in the Catskill Mountains of New York and after college and a stint in the Peace Corps, I raised a family and developed a business on the west coast of Florida, then moved west to Silver City, New Mexico in 1993 and have lived here ever since.

Silver City is a fabulous community to live in. It is active, embracing and multi-cultural, as reflected in this house, located at the base of the Chihuaha Hill neighborhood, whose original residents were from Mexico. The original part of the house is adobe and was built in 1886.
The house is unique in its interior charm. The use of warm colors reflects the sunny, bright climate. The house is cozy and comfortable; a place where you feel at home.
Silver City/Grant County is the gateway to the Gila National Forest and Aldo Leopold Wilderness, affording many opportunities to hike and enjoy the high desert scenery. Boston Hill , several hundred acres of open space with beautiful trails, is located right in Silver City, and one of the trail heads is just a few blocks away. The Gila Cliff Dwellings, the Cat Walk and the City of Rocks are within driving distance. Biking, hiking and bird watching are at your fingertips and add to outdoor adventures.
