About Clint Cannon

We are the Cannon's (Clint and Lindsey). We currently live in Waller, Texas and spend our vacations up in Pagosa. After growing up spending summer's on my grandmothers ranch in Pagosa springs, I decided to purchase a ranch of my own. I am a professional rodeo cowboy and my wife is a Speech Pathologist from Canada. We are both avid skiers, hikers, horseback riders and love the outdoors. This is not just a house but a working ranch with horses, donkey's and cows. We would love to have you come and stay at our place and enjoy the tranquility of the mountains!

Clint Cannon purchased this cabin in 2009

Why Clint Cannon chose Pagosa Springs

I bought this property for the seclusion in the mountains but also the easy access to both Pagosa Springs and Durango. I grew up spending many summers in Pagosa and always dreamed to have a place of my own in this beautiful part of the country.

What makes this cabin unique

Our property comes with a full wrap around porch to enjoy the beautiful days and nights outside, a creek that runs through the property and allows for great fishing and swimming, wildlife galore, the perfect view of chimney rock, and the surrounding forest.

Perfect in every way.

  • 5 of 5

Everything from the kitchen in the cabin to the hours of hiking around the property was absolutely perfect. The weather was cooperative the entire time allowing us to explore the surrounding area, make s'mores near the fire under a starlit sky, and enjoy a gorgeous sunrise with rabbits, birds and prairie dogs galore! The Cannon family were extremely helpful and kind the entire time and we hope to pay another visit soon. Defintiely highly recommend!

Amazing cabin/property!

  • 5 of 5

After researching hundreds of possible rental cabins, we chose this property for our week long vacation and could not have been happier with our choice! The owner was very helpful and responsive to our inquiries. The cabin itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed/wanted throughout our stay. We were not able to do as much hiking on the property as we had hoped due to weather, but what hiking/exploring we did on the property was beautiful. It was a bit warm for many of the larger wildlife, but we did see plenty of bunnies, turkey and groundhogs (we think?). We loved that it was close to many area attractions (Mesa Verde, Durango-Silverton train, hiking trails) and yet secluded enough to let us completely unwind in our down time. We're already talking about our next trip to this cabin. Thanks so much for a wonderful vacation!!

Relaxing Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband, his nephew and I enjoyed our stay at this fantastic cabin! Every morning we sat on the porch, drinking hot chocolate, watching the hummingbirds at the feeders and marvel at the beautiful view of Chimney Rock. The beds were so comfortable and even in August, we were comfortable with the windows open. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed!

Wonderful Work Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Great house! Wonderful views of Chimney Rock and all around peaceful location. Road is nearby and you can hear vehicles as they pass but it tends to be during normal working hours. Cannot hear vehicles when inside. Love the wrap around porch and the well established fire pit. Will definitely return! Owners are extremely helpful as well. Excellent find overall!

Perfect Hideaway

  • 5 of 5

Can't say enough great things about this rental and the owners. Great fishing, great cookouts by the huge fire pit along with beautiful scenery. Napped in the hammock on the porch while looking at Chimney Rock in the distance. I didn't take advantage of all the hiking on the property but the small amount I did was very enjoyable, you could spend days just walking around and hiking. The house had all the essentials needed to cook and stay comfortable and even had a few extras which made the stay nice. We will be back next year and thanks again to the Cannon's for an awesome time.

This ranch is awesome!

  • 5 of 5

we stayed for a week in this cabin (2 adults, 3 children and a dog) and we had an incredible time. The ranch is extremely confortable, we loved the wrap-around porch. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with incredible views and amazing serenity... the house is very well stocked with all cleaning supplies, paper towels, s'mores sticks, you name it! The upstairs bedroom is small but just for sleeping, it was perfect. Cody was extremely helpful with places to go that locals enjoy. We highly recommend the Piedra resort (15 mn away) for horseback riding. Lots of hiking on the property as well. We just had blast. Thank you so much Clint and Lindsey for sharing your home and being so easy to deal with. We'll be back!
