One of us transplanted from the Bay Area, and the other from Austin, Texas after life in a Navy family, we are now long time San Diego residents with over 20 years of local knowledge.
With children of our own, we take pride in assisting families with information on economical and kid-friendly local attractions, advice on restaurants and grocery shopping, etc. We can tell you about many of the typical tourist attractions, as well as those less known 'off the beaten path' adventures.
My husband and I manage this condo ourselves. This is a very nice unit that we used to live in. Beach residents for over 15 years, we moved inland to raise a family in a house with a garage and yard.
As an avid water and outdoor sports family, we still claim South Mission as our home break. When we go to the beach, South Mission is where we frequent. We stay in this condo when we can, keep in touch with the neighbors, and maintain the condo as a 'home away from home' where we would be proud to have our own family and friends to stay.

Excellent location with a short walk to the beach or bay and 2 close by playgrounds. Views from the 4th floor above surrounding buildings because this building was constructed before the 3-floor height limitation. Covered parking, elevator, security building, garbage chute, on-site laundry room.
Just a few steps away on the bayside you’ll find calm water
swimming, sailing, fire rings, boat slips, and a playground. One
block in the other direction let’s you swing into the action on the
ocean side to catch some waves or check out the boardwalk scene. You can stroll, jog, run, bike or rollerblade on the paved lanes that wind around ocean or bayside.
WITHIN A FEW BLOCKS...there are markets, pubs, restaurants (with free delivery), and a postal store offering post office boxes and shipping services including FedEx, UPS, and USPS. One block to the north takes you to an expansive oceanfront park that’s excellent for lawn games, Frisbee, and picnics, as well as the historic amusement park with this historical Big Dipper roller-coaster, indoor swimming pool, arcade, and carnival/midway type rides and attractions. Ocean fishing boats are 2 minutes away, and there are also several places within 5 minutes walking distance where you can rent bikes, kayaks, roller blades, boogie boards, wet suits, etc.
CONVENIENT ACCESS to I-5 and I-8 means quick trips to nearby attractions. Sea World is just 5 minutes away. A 10-minute drive will take you to Pacific Beach, Ocean Beach, Point Loma, or La Jolla. You're just 10-20 minutes from the airport, San Diego's thriving downtown scene, Torrey Pines Golf Course and River Walk Golf, historic Balboa Park, the World Famous San Diego Zoo, the Convention Center, and the Del Mar Race Track. A 30-40 minute drive will get you to LegoLand, the San Diego Wild Animal Park, or Mexico. Plus, there are beautiful mountains and deserts (and casinos) 1 hour
to the east.
