The Four Seas is a beautiful two story home designed for beachfront living on St. Teresa Beach. The first floor includes three bedrooms, two baths, kitchen, dining, living, screened porch, and shower directly accessible from outside and leading into a bathroom. The second floor has two bedrooms, two baths, kitchenette, dining, living, and screened porch. The two floors are connected via a circular staircase inside and a staircase connecting the porches, all under roof and screened in.
The yard is grass and nicely landscaped with a stepping stone walk leading from the house to the beach. A patio under the shade of the trees is midway to the beach - perfect for those who want to enjoy the outside and see the beach, but don't want to be in the sun and sand on the beach.
My family has been coming to St. Teresa since the 1940's and I since I was born (sometime after that). It has been a cherished place for my entire family and I and now we would like you to enjoy it as well.
John Chason purchased this house in 2005
This property was purchased in 1946 by Thomas Chason and has remained in the Chason family ever since. The original house he built was replaced by a bigger house in 2005. This new house is designed to accommodate several family's at once with plenty of common space for large groups but private space for small groups/individuals to be separate.
Everyone who comes here says the porch swing with it's view of the water is the most relaxing place in the world!
I took 3 families (6 adults and 6 children/teens) for Thanksgiving to "The Four Seas" on St. Teresa and we had a absolutely wonderful time. Even though it rained for the first couple of days, this house is so completely furnished we all had plenty to do. Thanksgiving dinner was easy with all the kitchen utensils, and the kiddos had plenty of room to read or play. John met us and explained all the details and showed us where to find sand toys, kayaks, and much more. There's even a fish cleaning room! But perhaps the best thing about this house was an outside entrance to a warm shower where we could wash off the sand before entering the house. I even washed my little dogs there and put them on a screened in porch to dry - what a blessing that was. The yard has a grassy area and shade trees for those who don't love the sun and the beach has such interesting tidal pools with starfish, sea urchins, live whelks and other marine life. This house does not disappoint - we will be back!
Our vacation at the Four Seas was wonderful. We were met by the owner, John who gave us a tour of the house. He made us feel so at home. The house exceeded our expectations. We were greatly impressed with size and the layout of the home. Everything was so clean and neat. There were 13 of us in all, ages from 1 to 80. There was plenty of space for everyone. There were plenty of beach toys, floats, shovels, etc. for the children. The beach was awesome. The calm ocean waves made it a perfect place for the small children. Everyone loved the kayaks too. Definitely one of the best vacations ever. We will definitely be back. Thank you John.
My family has been having family reunion weeks on the gulf coast for over 40 years. Over this time, our usual destinations, around Destin and Panama City, have become over-developed and over-crowded. So we decided to look for a more relaxed and peaceful beach in a less commercialized area for our 2014 vacation. This rental property met and exceeded our objectives and we met an owner who treated us more like guests than customers. The beach house is very clean and exceptionally well maintained. Above all, it is located on a beautifully natural lot with a private beach just beyond a lawn with native shade trees where there is gentle surf due to protective barrier islands. The owner and his family have owned the property for 3 generations and have completely replaced the original beach cottage with a much larger and well thought out beach house as their family grew. With years of beach living experience, the owner provides his renters with much of the beach equipment which makes a beach vacation fun. An example of his beach experience is the bathroom that has a doorway to a large shower room with a second door to the outdoors which practically eliminated tracking sand into the house. We enjoyed our week at this property more than any beach vacation in years. We highly recommend this rental to all who seek a relaxing vacation. All-night party goers should go elsewhere.
This house was perfect for a quick get away for our non-profit Board of Directors. It afforded us the opportunity to be all together for planning conversations, but each have space when needed. There was plenty of space upstairs and downstairs for the different purposes. I would definitely recommend this to future groups!
We had a blast! Ages 60 - 2. Photos accurately reflect property that is very well maintained. John was very nice and helpful. There are plenty of sand toys, floats and etc to keep every age entertained. The beach is beautiful and water is perfect for small children. No undertow and shallow with plenty of sandbars and tidal pools to explore. St. Teresa is secluded which is exactly how we prefer our vacation. Parents, and us grandparents, get the kudos for taking children to the beach without the crowds, party goers and dare we say inappropriate behavior. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. Downstairs is perfect for those that might not get around like they used too. We just got home and our grandaughter got out of the car, looked around and said " I want to go back to Mr. John's house." Thanks John and hope to see you again soon. Oh, I also have a 25 year old that is a PC devotee. She had a wonderful time as well.
The house was excellent! Plenty of space for everyone, we spent most of our time either on the beach or on the screened in patio. Several people slept on the upstairs patio due to the fabulous lounge chair and the breeze off the ocean. This was the first time for our family to rent a beach house so we were apprehensive, however the experience was amazing and we all made memories to share in the future. The house was very clean and the outdoor shower was fantastic, made going in and out much easier and not tracking sand through the house. The list of restaurants, hospitals and shopping locations was great especially when our dad fell and we needed an emergency room. Luckily nothing broken so back to the beach. Loved the extra beach supply room and the kyack, let everyone have an opportunity to kyack. We loved the house, there were 9 of us, I would definately recommend this house to anyone. We went to the aquarium and some of the local shopping the kids loved the aquarium. However, just walking the beach in the morning and afternoon allowed us to find many shells, hermit crabs, starfish and we even got to fish off the pier. It's a great house and great location!!
