The living area of nearly 150 m2 includes a convenient and luxurious Siematic kitchen and a beautiful covered veranda of 40 m² which is a delightful place to relax. The height of the wooden ceilings, doors and windows create a warm, sunny and charming ambiance. The house has three tastefully decorated bedrooms with AC, private luxurious bathrooms and large private terraces. At souterrain level there is a simple fourth bedroom. The house is surrounded by a centuries old olives orchard. Dozens of palm, orange and lemon trees have been planted. The fabulous pool of 6x15m is really made for swimming. The service is impeccable. The Ionian island of Lefkas on the northwest coast of Greece is ideal for holiday-makers who appreciate unspoilt nature and authenticity. Most of the island’s 22,000 inhabitants live in or around the town of Lefkas. In the mountain villages the visitor can still experience authentic country life. The rural population lives mainly from cattle, wine, olives, citrus fruit and delicious honey. The highest mountain peak is Stavrota with 1182 m. The panoramic views are incredibly beautiful. Along the coastline are high white chalk cliffs, picturesque bays, lovely beaches and the sea is crystal clear and clean. The Ionian islands are considered one of the most beautiful sailing regions in the world. Sailing is the main sport on Lefkas. Lefkas is centrally located in the Ionian archipelago and lies near the mainland, which can be easily reached by a bridge. It’s a perfect base for day trips to other islands and the mainland. The northwest of Greece offers much to explore and is beautiful.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Note to rental rates
    The house sleeps 6 persons luxuriously plus 2 persons simple. The rental rate is based on occupancy of 2-6 persons. In case more than 6 persons older than two years would occupy the house the rate increases with EUR 200 a week per person.
    For possible damage there is a warrant of EUR 750 for the renting period. Small damages are not debited. The warrant will be paid back on the day of departure. In case of a serious damage an e-mail will inform the guests about the cost of the damage; payment will be within 5 days after the date of the e-mail.
  • Payment terms
    60% at reservation, 40% one month before arrival. The warrant of EUR 750 for possible damage is added to the payment term one month before arrival.
  • Arrival and departure
    The rental period is from Sunday to Sunday. Arriving guests can occupy House Of The Sea after 15:00 hours. On departure day, we require guests to vacate the accommodation before 10:00 hours.
    In the spring, summer and autumn, there are weekly flights to Lefkada (Airport Preveza/Lefkada) from many European cities. Flying via Corfu, Athens or Thessaloníki is an option. The drive by car to the island of Lefkada is from Igoumenitsa 1 1/2 hour and from Athens or Thessaloníki 4 ½ to 5 hours. Many drive by car through Italy. Convenient ferries depart daily from Venice and Ancona to Igoumenitsa in Greece.
