Big Sky Condo Rental Photos and Description
3 bedroom, 3 baths, Sleeps 6
Big Sky is a special, little-known corner of this planet. This spacious 3 bedroom/3 bath condo is the perfect place for kicking back. Or it can be the jumping off point for your next hiking or horseback-riding adventure, world-class trout fishing expedition, or white-water rafting thrill. The bison and elk at Yellowstone National Park beckon just down the road. Like golf? You'll love the Arnold Palmer designed 18-hole public course with incredible views and a mountain stream meandering through it.
Cathedral ceilings frame a majestic river rock fireplace in an open concept living room with a complete kitchen. This is a home away from home with all the amenities, a place to break bread, share tales, and plan your next outing. Turn right out the door, and you're 50 steps from the Ousel Falls trail - a nature walk and Gallatin fishing spot. At night, step out on the patio to star gaze, or watch the moon rise from the comfort of your bed, lulled to sleep by a cool alpine breeze. Is this heaven? No, it's Big Sky.

My wife and I have been visiting Big Sky off and on since 2004. We had a family gathering of 12 for Thanksgiving in a Firelight condo one year, and had a fabulous time skiing and snowshoeing in the fresh powder. In 2006, we bought this new condo. Most folks visit Big Sky in winter. But for us, Big Sky in summer is best.
We prefer the Spanish Peaks carpeted in a riot of alpine flowers to winter’s white lace. We love the gurgle of trout-filled streams and the rush of white-water rafting to the hard silence of December. The short hike to Ousel Falls can be a spiritual experience any time of the year, but the richness of the scents and sounds, take it to another level in August.
For us, Big Sky is leisurely dinner on the front porch of Blue Moon Bakery, enjoying an amazing Shooting Star pizza as the sun bids adieu, gently painting the sky and the mountains with hues of orange, pink, and purple. Or if we're feeling like a Big Night Out, we head to Buck's T-4 for a Montana grass-fed bison tenderloin or red deer with truffle risotto, just 5 minutes by car.
For us, Big Sky in summer is the weekly farmer’s market for a sausage sub covered in sauteed onions, live music, and browsing the latest creations of the area's talented artisans. It’s a leisurely stroll to and from the new cinema.
Here's what pro-golfer Phil Mickelson told Golfchannel after a June 2013 visit:
“It’s the greatest place on earth,” he maintains unabashedly. “We did fly fishing, the kids did trap shooting, archery – like, real archery, shooting these awesome arrows – whitewater rafting, ziplining. My oldest daughter is big into paleontology, loves dinosaurs and history. The most world-renowned paleontologist is there. His name is Jack Horner. We ended up having a chance to spend time with him for an hour on Amanda’s birthday and it was the first time I’ve seen her star-struck. It was so cool.”
Come to Big Sky, make your own summer memories. It’s a choice you’ll never regret.
