Excellent for Edinburgh (15 min), Perth, Glasgow. 45 golf courses including St Andrews within 40 min drive plus 4 local courses in Dunfermline. Nearest supermarket, restaurant 5 min. Road link to all routes 5 min. Edinburgh Airport 15 min. Dunfermline is the ancient capital of Scotland. The Abbey contains the remains of King Robert the Bruce and the Palace was home to the Kings of Scotland for many centuries. Just over the Forth Road Bridge our apartment sits in manicured communal gardens with easy access to the town. The mainline train station offers fast transport to Edinburgh, Perth, the Trossachs, Highlands & East Coastal Route. The town centre is a conservation area boasting many historical buildings and is home to an excellent selection of trendy bars, restaurants, banks, shops and supermarkets. The local coastal villages offer some of the best fish and seafood in Scotland. Please note this is a no smoking apartment.

Golf facilities in and around Dunfermline: Dunfermline offers 4 golf courses all within a few minutes drive of the property. There are 45 golf courses in the Fife area all within 40 minutes drive. These including St Andrews 40 min (the home of golf). Aberdour 15 min. Burntisland 20 min. Balwearie (Kirkcaldy) 20 min Leven 30 min. Saline 30 min. Lundin Links 35 min. Kinghorn 25 min. Glenrothes 20 min. Cupar 25 min.

Local towns and villages of Fife: The Fife Coastal Path is a very famous route which runs from the Firth of Forth with its rail and suspension bridges up to the Firth of Tay. The area boasts some beautiful beaches and famous harbours with the white washed fishing villages of the East Neuk of Fife dotted along the coast line.

Fantastic Apartment!!

In August 2009 my family and I enjoyed our stay at this wonderful ground floor apartment. The facilities and location where fabulous for our family of four and we really enjoyed our time in Dunfermline. Our young boys loved the surrounding parks and having the 24 hour Tesco just down the road was fantastic for whipping up meals.

The apartment was modern, very clean and had everything we needed for our week long stay. We were travelling with our baby and 7 year old son who both loved the apartment. Our babies needs were well looked after with the use of a porta cot and high chair. The apartment is located on the ground floor and has no stairs which is wonderful when travelling with kids.

The Apartment is in a great location for exploring Fife and Edinburgh. The local train staion is around 10 minutes drive form the apartment and the trains to Edinburgh were frequent and hasle free.

We would highly recommend this wonderful apartment and would like to thank the owners for a wonderful week in Dunfermline

Thank you for the use of your apartment. It was well equipped, clean and very nicely furnished. We spent more time in Dunfermline this time - I never get bored of this place. There is always something else to look at and somewhere else to walk. We will certainly keep coming back to the Town and this apartment.

p.s. lovely clean oven how do you keep it that way??

LOVELY APARTMENT

This was my third visit to this apartment and in the short time I have been visiting, the owners have constantly upgraded the property. I love the new solid wood floor in the hallway and the new mattresses in both bedrooms are very comfortable. I have to say that I did not find the old ones objectionable at all but the new are certainly excellent. As always the apartment was immaculate and the bed linen crisp and clean. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a bit of luxury in a quiet area with easy access to all the sites. The Indian restaurant just down the road is one of the best I have eaten in and I would also recommend that to people who like good quality Indian food.

Almost perfect!

A really lovely, modern apartment. Ideally located and in a very nice area with plenty of restaurants/shops around. Spotlessly clean and really looked after. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Stephen was really very helpful, told us about the Indian restaurant up the road and he was right, it was brilliant! Only a couple of things that could be improved on to make it a really perfect place, the mattresses on the beds need replacing - they weren't very comfortable at all and a mirror next to a plug in the smaller bedroom to enable drying your hair. Happy to recommend this place to all and hope to come back for another stay soon.

Very sorry to be leaving your lovely apartment after only a few nights but we will be back for sure. Dunfermline situated just off the Forth Road bridge offers a wealth of excellent cafes, bars and restaurants or try the coastal fish restaurants for the freshest of Scottish produce. Many hours can be spent wandering around the quaint old town of Dunfermline or in the beautiful ruins of the famous Palace and Abbey steeped in ancient history. For golf lovers Dunfermline could not be better placed with a choice of 45 different golf courses including the famous St Andrews only a few miles away. The town offers excellent rail and road links to Edinburgh (Festival and Fringe), Perth, Glasgow (City of Culture), The Lochs, The Trossachs and the Highlands. Whisky Distilleries and tartan shops/mills abound and there are many local festivals offering an insight to Scotland's traditions and culture including the Highland Games at Blair Athol. In the park is a music festival for the young and of course there are plenty of rugby matches at Murrayfield for those interested in sport

Notes:
The apartment is situated on the ground floor with direct access from the parking area. A parking space is allocated to the apartment. We have a built in alarm system and smoke alarm. Our interior designer has made every effort to create a luxurious yet comfortable interior for our guests . The property is very spacious and bright with both the bedrooms and the lounge being south facing. During the spring of 2013 we have installed a hardwood floor in the entrance hall and high comfort John Lewis mattresses in both bedrooms. The apartment is surrounded by manicured communal gardens of grass and shrubs. It is located in a very quiet residential area among detached and semi detached private properties. Directly opposite the park with lovely walks and only a short distance from Tesco, local shops, bars and restaurants. A bus service passes by and there is a circular route which goes to the town centre giving easy access to the historic quarter and high street shops.
