What to do! :
The district of Arcadia is best described by using the expression “customized Peloponnese”. The area around us boasts many interesting sights worth a short excursion, a day trip or even a multi-day tour (see excursions). However, rural Greece is what you will see and experience most, not beyond modern times but still very traditional and unique. The area is perfect for everybody, from families with kids, to sun lovers, hikers and culture vultures. There are two small supermarkets in the village, where you'll find everything you need for your holiday. If you are in the mood for an extended shopping spree or looking for a busier place, just go to Paralia Astros, Astros or Argos in the north, which are all bustling with activity.
Enjoy the good sides of life!:
Feel a gentle breeze from the ocean while enjoying the local delicacies in our restaurant! Every day, Sofia makes sure to use only the freshest and best ingredients to prepare for you mouth-watering treats, ranging from typical Greek dishes to barbecued lamb, pork and chicken. Only the freshest catch of the day is good enough for our guests, who can choose from a variety of fish and seafood dishes. Extensive medical care is provided in nearby Astros where you will find a paediatrician, gynaecologist and general practitioner. In Argos, you will find a hospital and veterinarian. Leisure time activities include motorcycle rentals and windsurfing & sailing schools in Paralia Astros where you can also hire an excursion boat for an island cruise.
How to get here!:
For those of you with more time on hand than just a week, arriving by car and ferry is a worthwhile and eventful alternative as you get to see the colors and shapes of the countryside. From the ports of Trieste, Venice, Ancona, Bari or Brindisi you cross the Adriatic Sea in an interesting and comfortable trip before reaching Greek soil in Patra or Igomenitsa. There are some outstanding ferry companies such as Superfast, Anek or Minoan which get you from Italy to Greece in as little as 20 hours, if you depart from Ancona, for example. If you are travelling by plane, you will land at the new airport El Venizelos in Spata, south of Athens. From there, you can either take the overland bus (trolly) or use a rental car. Regardless of your preferred mode of travelling, we are just a phone call away if you have any questions or run into trouble on the way. Have a good trip! We will all be waiting for you with open arms!
