Excellent place to enjoy Dublin

Our group of 4 booked this property for our trip to Dublin and we all agree--this was an excellent choice. Pat is an excellent "landord" who gave us a full tour of the flat upon arrival, as well as some great advice for what we should do in Dublin and Ireland during our visit. The flat is very spacious and has the most beautiful view from the living room and 2 of the bedrooms. The area and apartment are safe and secure, and most of all welcoming. We definitely plan on returning here for our next trip to Dublin.

Wonderful Apartment

My friends and I stayed here for a week and loved this apartment. It is modern and airy, clean and with everything you need - including a little shopping trolley which was great or our shopping!

The Luas tram is a minute's walk away as is the supermarket which stocks all you need. The Cobblestone pub close by is worth a visit, a real Dublin pub, not one of those touristy places. There are also great places to eat very close by. But you can also be in the city centre within five minutes via the Luas. You can walk to the Temple bar area in ten minutes. So, really it is the perfect location.

It was very easy to book everything with the owner Pat, he always responded very quickly to emails. So, if you are looking for a spacious apartment that is close to everything I would definitely recommend this one.

Very nice apartment! Lots of space, we were seven people, and the three bathrooms made things easier. Very nice area, calm but still very close to supermarket and pubs. Good communications, and walking distance to Temple bar. Great service at arrival, tourist maps and stuff to borrow, and a well equipped apartment and kitchen. Overall five stars. Owner Pat is a great guy. Thanks Pat, we’ll be back! Hope you enjoyed the beer :).

Lovely and very well located.

We stayed at the apartment to celebrate our son's 21st Birthday. Sadly it was far too short a stay and we didn't manage to see everything. Pat was very friendly and welcoming. The apartment is lovely and just as the photographs show. The view is great, and the location ideal for the hop on hop off bus stop just across the road. I would recommend anyone visiting Dublin to stay at the apartment, however more time than a weekend would be preferable.

Convenient Location and Beautiful Apartment

My husband, two eleven year old boys, and I stayed at the apartment from June 4th until June 14, 2013. We had a wonderful time and beautiful, sunny weather.
The apartment is about 20 minutes from the Dublin airport. We were traveling from the US, so we arrived at 9:00 a.m. The other guests were still exiting (check out time is 10:00) the apartment, so Pat (the owner) suggested we have coffee at “Insomnia” which is located next to the apartment in the “Fresh” grocery store. Then Pat came and got us and we walked to the apartment building and left our suitcases in the apartment, while the apartment was being cleaned. It was a very nice apartment with lots of large windows. There are two “Hop On Hop Off” bus companies (the “red” bus and the “green” bus) that have a stop across the Smithfield square. It is an easy way for tourists to see Dublin. There is no reason to rent a car if you are staying at this apartment. The Red Line “LUAS” – also known as the Tram or light rail, has a Smithfield stop, a few paces past the Hop On Hop Off bus stops. We bought two 7 Day Adult Flexi all zone tickets for 23.50 Euro, purchased from the machine at the Smithfield stop. The apartment is three stops (on the LUAS) from O’Connell Street, and the stops are close together. Pat suggested we take the Red Line to Connelly Station, then get a train to Malahide. This was a great idea. From the Malahide train station we walked into the small town of Malahide for lunch, and then walked to Malahide Castle and took the tour. Another day we took the train to Houth and had lunch there. All very easy. For the trip to the Cliffs of Mohr, we booked a tour bus trip.
The “Fresh” grocery was very convenient. This grocery store would not accept our US credit card because it wasn’t a “chip and pin” credit card. They had an ATM machine, so we used cash at this grocery store. Our credit card was accepted at most places. Before visiting Ireland, read up on credit cards and money so there are no surprises.
The apartment has wireless Internet connection so we could use our tablet. Pat had converter/adapter plugs so we could recharge the tablet. The washer is small and you have to use the drip-dry method.
It was nice to stay in such a large apartment. We could never have stayed 10 days in a one or two hotel room, but it was very enjoyable staying that length of time in this wonderful apartment. A wonderful time.
