Delightful Moroccan Style Town House in Secure gated development with tropical gardens, restaurant and two pools. One of the best beaches in the world is 3 minutes walk away. Oualidia is famous throughout Morocco for fresh oysters, lobster and crab. In the best position in the Development, Jardins de la Lagune, gate off tropical gardens opens in to a large private patio, covered area with sofas and Dining table. Front door opens into small hall, Moroccan room with gust sofas for two, shower room with WC, kitchen and delightful living room, with French windows leading back to patio. Stairs up to Master bedroom, with double bed, bathroom and walk in dressing room. French windows from the bedroom lead out to a lovely patio with views of the tropical gardens and the Atlantic. The villa has own private underground parking, the development has a lovely restaurant and two swimming pools. For a modest extra sum you can have the villa cleaned by Fatima, our lovely maid, who can also cook .

Oualidia is a delightful town in two parts. On the top of the hill, on the road to Casablanca is the old town, with shops restaurants and a weekly market. At the bottom of the hill is the beach village of Oualidia, with several hotels, seafood restaurants and a magnificent beach. The fascinating feature of the beach is that it consists of a large semi-circular bay that is almost entirely blocked by an island. When the tide is out a huge beach is revealed and one can walk to the island, when the tide is in the bay fills with water for very safe swimming, wind surfing and diving. Also boats will take you to the island, the boatman will even prepare lunch for you on the island's beach. In the lagoon which adjoins is an oyster farm which can be reached by boat or road, with a delightful water front restaurant. You can also visit the farm itself, and buy oysters to take away, at an incredibly low price. The beach is listed on the Internet as one of the most beautiful in the world.

Notes: Les Jardins de lagune is a delightful development on the side of a hill overlooking Oualidia and the beach. We were one of the first buyers so have the best position, near the sea, some villas require a steep climb. We ate only a short distance from the oyster farm where it is possible to buy oysters at a ridiculously cheap price to take away and eat at home, or you can eat them and other delicious sea food in a charming restaurant right on the lagoon. We always take advantage of Driss a charming local taxi driver who speaks fluent English. He will help with shopping and translating with our maid, Fatrima, as well as picking you up at Casablanca airport and taking you if necessary on day trips to Marrakech, Safi and Essaouira. Oualidia also has many wonderful sea food restaurants. The bay of Oualidia has many boatmen who will take you out to the islands on the lagoon, even broil you crab oysters and lobster on the beach.

Although a car is always useful, because of the reasonable prices charged by our Taxi Driver friend Driss it is not essential. Also Driss is happy to shop for Crab, lobster and oysters for yoy and help Fatima serve these to you at home. Alternatively l'Araignee, two minutes walk away, serves some of the best sea food in Morocco.

Other Activities: Pottery at Safari, trips to Marrakesh , shopping in the markets, boat trips on Oualidia lagoon.
