Where both parents and little ones are on holiday!

Staying at La Dolce has to me redefined what it’s like to be on a holiday with a young child and really HAVE a holiday! With the arrival of our daughter Sasha (now 2 ½) our requirements for a holiday have changed and there were times when being on holiday with Sasha in tow was more stressfull than relaxing. Staying at La Dolce was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it to parents who want to spend a holiday in France and want that both they and their little ones are happy. Every single thing at La Dolce has been thought through. The gite is spacious and well appointed, with a shower and a bath, a wide comfortable bed, good quality pillows, duvets and linens, an a well stocked kitchen with every imaginable dish and device (including a dishwater), and an outside BBQ! I am not the one who likes cooking while holiday, but with such a convenient set-up, I was really looking forward to our daily BBQ’s (well my husband actually did the cooking)!
Another great thing is the availability of all kinds of baby/child equipment and paraphernalia so you don’t need to bring anything from home. There is a playroom full of toys and books (a good option for the rainy days), and house is stocked with practical things a child needs, from cots and high chairs, to potties and Tupperware! The grounds at La Dolce are not just beautiful but very child-friendly with lots of space for the kids to run around and still be within parents’ eye sight. Sasha is a fan of swings, so we spent countless hours at the playground (which also has a slide and a sandpit) and there is even a heated pool! So to sum up, everything you need is there, so you just spend quality time with your precious ones and enjoy yourself! And there is even a babysitting service on offer if you want to have some ‘adults only’ time.
And the beautiful region has so much on offer! Within an hour’s radius there are chateaux, medieval villages, vineries, markets and many fantastic restaurants to choose from! We probably spent 1/2 time exploring and 1/2 time relaxing, and among the things we enjoyed the most are : Monpazier, Monflanquin and Pujols (beautiful well preserved medieval villages, listed among France’s ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages), Cahor's Valentré bridge, chateau de Biron and chateau De Bonaguil. We came home relaxed and recharged, and without a doubt will plan to come back to La Dolce as soon as we can !
