This centrally air conditioned traditional Bay Head house dates from 1937 and offers a complete vacation venue. There are four bedrooms (which sleep six), two full baths and an outdoor shower, There is a screened front porch, and a broad back deck for al fresco dining. The kitchen is new in 2010, restored to the art deco style of the 1930's. A paneled full size living room, separate dining room and dedicated breakfast room with a full view of the professionally designed garden complete the floor plan. The home is immaculate and fully furnished. Amenities include wi-fi, flat screen tv and dvd, an outdoor grill, ample linens and kitchen accessories. Most rooms have ceiling fans if you choose to live without a/c. A gardener maintains the garden, and weekly lawn service and all utilities and four beach badges are included. At the end of your stay, just leave the laundry and clean up to us.
There is a lot within walking distance. The private beach is two blocks, with an upscale restaurant about five blocks from home. Across the street from the restaurant is a sandwich/breakfast place, plus get a newspaper or a bottle of wine! It's about four short blocks from there to Bay Head center - a bakery, wine, spirits and cheese shop and a number of gift and women's wear shops. Another six or so blocks is the train station with service north to New York's Penn Station. Overall, it's about a mile from the house to the train station, a flat and pretty easy walk past Twilight Lake.

About Ginny Donnelly
My wife and I and grown daughter all live in the Atlanta area. Our most recent all-summer tenant left us after nine years to buy another house of their own just up the street! We miss them, as they came to love this house as much as we do.
Ginny Donnelly purchased this house in 1961
Why Ginny Donnelly chose Bay Head
This location suits our lives very well. The house has been in the family for more than 50 years. Bay Head has the small town flavor that we grew up with, and we can walk easily to a restaurant, the bakery and get the morning paper. And if we are ambitious that day, it's a mile to the train station where the City and points in between are great to visit.
What makes this house unique
We love the way this house provides a cozy and welcoming environment, where you can mix the sand and the surf with civilized living.
