Bologna Vacation Rental apartment: Monte San Pietro

We cannot heap enough praise on Judith and Alberto for their fantastic hospitality; their attention to detail is commendable. They have created a wonderful apartment that provides an ideal base for exploring the towns and cities of Bologna, Ferrara, Ravenna and Parma. It is also only a short drive into the magnificent countryside of the surrounding hills. We are five friends who have visited Bolonia this summer and we loved it.We rented this home and we are very happy for did it. It is a quiet place with excellent views and good communications by road or highway to Bologna or any place. We have rented a car and we traveled to many of the beautiful cities of Italy from there: Venice, Verona, San Marino, Padova, Ferrara, Modena, Parma, Florence ... it is very close to the highway are very good and quick.The house is well decorated and well equipped in every sense: two bathrooms, large and nice bedrooms, spacious lounge and beautiful kitchen very well equipatted ... Finally, it is very pleasant to live in the house because there is a beautiful countryside and mountain views or because it is located on a golf course, that makes it even more attractive. Another thing to emphasize is that is not heard no noise, making it an ideal place to relax.We spent 9 days there, fantastic: we enjoyed calm, we drove on to other cities to see monuments (the motorway is nearby) or spend nights dining at the wonderful garden of the house ... For this reason, I recommend this house anyone: singles, couples or young couples with children, or friends ... because it is the ideal place to spend holidays.I ´d like to thank the treatment of owners (Alberto, thanks for everything) which has been impressive: never lacked for anything and often ask for us if we need something or if we feel comfortable. It was great because he had gel in the bathrooms, towels ... And the first night we arrived we had in the fridge soft drinks, beer and snacks, which is welcome. I think many of us repeat it because it is a house that is located in a beautiful place of Italy and ideal for any type of entertainment: cultural tourism, rural or even the beach ... My family spent a wonderful long weekend here in May and if you are looking for a perfect getaway to combine rest with culture in a beautiful setting then it would be hard to find a better spot. We all loved the charming flat which was very clean and well maintained - excellent value and certainly met every comfort. It was bright, elegant and modern with a peaceful, rural setting in the middle of a golf course (perfect for golf lovers!) with wonderful views over Bologna. There is a large garden which we really appreciated - great for relaxing in over a glass of wine after all the noise and bustle of a city day out.

The owners were delightful and could not have been more helpful and recommended us to some amazing restaurants both in the country and the city (and we have travelled around Italy a lot so we know good italian food when we eat it!!). The city of Bologna itselt is within easy access and is an amazing city with so much to explore and in our opinion easily matches some of the better known Italian cities. In fact, looking at the map this area seems to be ideally situated for access to both coasts, many famous cities and the italian lakes which are all within a 2 hour drive. We would most definitely recommend this place and have already made plans to return next year for longer so we can take advantage of the other nearby places to visit - we loved the combination of returning to such a tranquil place in the countryside whilst still having so much culture on our doorstep. Obviously a car is essential!!
