Good Location, Quiet and Cheap!

I was a little nervous about booking, and prepaying for a flat, but the owner, Mal, put me right at ease, and made the transaction easy, and was very accomodating with my requests. The price was right, the bed clean, comfortable; right next to a huge window that was great to sleep under during the heat!
The kitchen area is very tiny, but for a single studio, had all you would need. It was too hot for me to cook, but just having a refridgerator and a microwave was very nice.
The closet is adequate, but not alot of space to lay out a suitcase. Plenty of hooks on the wall, very helpful.
The bathroom was just 50/50 for me. Plenty of storage space in the little cupboards for bathroom things makes up for the lack of shelves. Clean sink and toilet with towels and TP, don't forget your facecloth if you need it! I struggled to figure out the shower, but it was too hot to need a whole lot of hot water!! I am certain Mal would sort it out if you had difficulties with anything in the flat.
My favorite thing about this place was the location. It is entirely in a residential area, which makes it very quiet and peaceful, It is just a few blocks walk to Goldhawk Road, which is the south end of the Shepherds Bush market, which sells fresh foods, and local needs. There is a few take-away places between the tube and the flat, which was really handy. It is about 10-15 minutes walk to Hammersmith station, which is a great area for shopping, eating, etc. AND its on the Picadilly line from Heathrow. Very convenient. The Location could not be better.
The price is just right, you get what you pay for ; no frills, a converted Victorian townhouse room, where space is at a premium. It is truly a studio flat, very tiny, but the location cannot be beat, and the owner fantastic, makes up for all that.
