This amazing beachfront home on Playa Hermosa has all the joys of a resort vacation in the privacy of a furnished home. The 3,000 square foot decorated home has 5 large bedrooms, each coupled with their own bathroom. Two oceanfront rooms each have a queen bed and built-in twin, and two bedrooms with courtyard views each have a queen bed. A fifth bedroom is a large bunk room with a futon couch/bed and 2 bunk beds - both have a futon twin on top and full on the bottom - makes a great room for the kids!
Amazing views of the ocean fill the spacious great room and a brick boveda ceiling and large cupola add to the extraordinary details of this home. A well equipped kitchen and beehive fireplace in the living room provide all you need to enjoy a resort style vacation in the comforts of a private home.
Breathe in the refreshing ocean air from a large covered patio or an upper sun deck, or relax with the sunset next to a built in fire pit.
This home also has a ping-pong table for hours of fun and a wood burning fire pit right on the beach for roasting marshmallows or making s'mores or just relaxing to the sound of a crackling fire and mesmerizing ocean waves.
We are Pet Friendly - bring up to 2 dogs for just $75 per visit. They will love the freedom of the secluded beach!

We rented this beautiful home on May 30th, and had a great time. The house is big, clean, and our group of 5 families with kids fitted very well. The house location is a bit isolated, I expected a whole beach full with vacation homes such as Playa Encanto, but there were only a few vacation homes. Also, the house is running on solar and we had issues with the power during the night. Other then those issues, we had all the comfort we needed!
What a great find in Casa Hermosa, especially for a holiday weekend! While the resort side of Rocky Point was packed with beach goers, we had our beach basically to ourselves. One large group was in the home next door but homes are few and far between with plenty of beach to share. Look east past your one neighbor and you will see a mile of open beach with no homes or hotels. It was so nice waking up every morning to the sound of the ocean waves just outside your window and to know the beach is literally steps away from the back door.
This is an ideal location for groups or families. If you’re looking for a more private property that is still very accessible to town, then consider Casa Hermosa.
Pros: All the bedrooms have separate bathrooms - a plus for added comfort and privacy. The patio was very large and accommodating for guests to relax. The fire pit was nice and a great complement to the amazing views of the stars at night. The kayaks made for great entertainment and exercise and I had many good laughs watching friends get flipped as they tried it for the first time! Having free wifi and satellite tv when we needed to catch up with the rest of the world was clutch. The location is also great because some members in our house wanted to enjoy some good quiet time, while others grouped together and had fun. The open beach allows for one to enjoy all the personal time they could desire.
Cons (really they’re minor and suggestions for improvements as this did not detract from our wonderful stay): water pressure a bit low in the kitchen - difficult to wash dishes, pots, and pans quickly, and the beds were not resort quality soft, but we still slept like logs! Phil, the owner, was very helpful with our one problem. The A/C unit tripped the power when we tried to turn it on. He recently had work done to the unit and believes there was an electrical short. This was easily mitigated as every bedroom has its own A/C unit and we were all quite comfortable without the main house unit. I imagine this would be fixed by the next time we visit. Extra pillows from home is a recommendation.
Overall, Casa Hermosa is a gorgeous property and staying here made for a very impressionable and memorable vacation. We would recommend this place and may soon plan our next trip to Casa Hermosa.
I can't thank the owners of this property enough. their driving directions were on point. Everything about the home was wonderful. My family was relaxed, felt safe, and enjoyed all the amenities this property had to offer!
The problems we had included major power issues...the day we arrived the house battery/generator shut down...did a reset per insructions on counter (known issue), power kicked back off after 2 min and count not be reset. Set generator to run (was on auto) and set garage breaker to bypass....the power would continue to flicker...washing machine, dryer, dishwasher would all go into power failure mode and not complete cycles...direct tv would also reset. If you ran the air in the ocean front east bedroom you would find water dripping on your head and pillow all night. Also the kitchen wasn't equipt with the utencils normally found in rentals houses in the area we had previously rented and the a coupe matresses in the kids room were so thin the kids wouldn't sleep on them. Ran out of propane for the grill and it took 2 full days even though owner said we would get a new tank next morning.
One other comment the own might want to consider single ply toilet paper and water flow is weak in Mexico and having to plunge gets old. The house could be really nice if these problems were fixed.
This house is so beautiful that the pictures don't do it justice. The owner takes pride in keeping this place in great condition and we had everything we needed for our stay. We used the outdoor grill and fire pit every night and the show of stars was beautiful. We had 2 kayaks to use and we had tons of fun with them. The beach is secluded and we only saw a handful of people every day. I would recommend this beautiful rental to any family or large group of people.
We got a late jump on our vacation plans and found this little gem at the last minute. Initially, we were looking for places a little closer to the main resort area, but given it was Spring Break, our options were limited. Long story short, in the end we were grateful that our options were limited. This place was absolutely perfect for our group of 3 families.
The pictures really don't do this place justice in terms of the scenery and attention to detail within the home. First off, you are literally right on the beach! From the shoreline, you can see the main resort areas off in the distance to the West. Although there are some houses around, you pretty much have the beach to yourself. The kids brought their boogie boards and the home owner has some sea kayaks that we used to play with in the water. The back parch is enormous with plenty of space (both shaded and non-shaded to hang out during the day. We utilized the BBQ quite a bit and thought that the outdoor shower just off the patio was a nice addition when coming in from the beach. There was also a nice little fire pit that we used at night. You can drive down into town and there are literally several stands on the side of the road that sell firewood cheap.
Each of the rooms are a nice size and have their own full baths. It's more or less like having 3 master suites plus an extra bedroom in the main house. The 5th room across the courtyard was ideal for our kids. It had a couple of bunk beds and a twin in it. Very large room with a television in it.
The kitchen was well equipped and the main living area was spacious and comfortable. We had fun making dinner for everyone and watching satellite TV and playing card games at the living room table.
Going into town was a snap and very easy to navigate once you got your bearings. It took about 15 minutes to get to the Fish Market and maybe 20 or so to get to the main resort areas. We traveled to town a couple of times per day for activities, to pick up supplies, etc. We were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't all that bad a commute. In fact, we kind of enjoyed the ride! In the end, we really enjoyed the privacy and relative seclusion of the place. It was like our own little paradise.
Overall, we had a very good experience from beginning to end at the Casa Hermosa! We will definitely be back.
