The 'Olive Grove' is a new family run business offering a friendly atmosphere and service. The apartments are ideal for couples and families. There is a seperate twin bedded room with a divan and sofa bed in the sitting room. The apartyfments are built in a former olive grove in the center of Elounda village. 2 minutes walk from beach, shops and tavernas. All apartments are well equipped for self catering with private balconies, air conditioning and wireless internet. There is a large pool and childrens pool, also a bar serving snacks and drinks from early morning till late evening. Maid service is 3 times a week and laundry changed twice a week. Transfer can be arranged by taxi from the airport, which is a 50 minute drive.

Elounda is situated on the north-east coast of of Crete in the Mirabello Bay, 65 kilometres from Iraklion - 50 mins by taxi. Elounda is a large Cretan village, its main square is the center of resort life, lined with a wide variety of shops, tavernas and bars looking out onto the harbour. Roads from the square lead out to the fish tavernas of neighbouring Plaka or the bustling streets of Aghios Nicolaos, 10km away. Just beyond the square there's a sandy beach which is regularly awarded the Blue Flag. The Olive Grove is situated very centrally near the church, 2 mins walk from the square and beach but secluded enough to be in a calm and peaceful location. You can take relaxing strolls through the old villages surrounding Elounda and see the amazing scenery also there are boat trips daily to Spinalonga . This is an island just of the coast of Plaka which was once a Venetian Fortress and later a leper colony, most recently the inspiration for the book 'the Island'.

We have rented directly 3 times and have booked again for July 2009. Lovely place and lovely people. Owners and sons make you feel at home immediately, very helpful and nothing too much trouble. Great location, great apartments, great village.
