Fully furnished studio apartment located in the picturesque Victorian suburb of Beacon Hill on the grounds of Glenwood Manor in Historic Rugby, Tennessee. Day bed opens to one king or 2 twin sized beds with a spacious open plan living area. Brand new kitchen appliances. Restroom with shower. Television and video. The Appalachian mountains and rivers offer the most picturesque hiking trails with possibility of canoeing along the South Fork River and its tributaries. Nearby towns offer horse riding, golf, theatre and cinema as well as a variety of American and ethnic cuisine restaurants. Included in cost is a self-service breakfast bar with coffee, tea and muffins supplied. Home made cooking available at The Harrow Road Cafe`, the village restaurant. The owner and resident artist will offer a free painting class with a stay of 2 weeks or more. All materials supplied, just bring your enthusiasm and imagination!

Historic Rugby is a heritage treasure listed on the national register of historic places since 1972 and pursuing national landmark status for the Thomas Hughes' library, believed to be the oldest completely preserved public lending library in America. The National Trust for Historic Preservation calls Rugby one of the most authentically preserved historic villages in America. Local attractions = The Visitors Center has a small theatre with a film on the history and founders of Rugby. They also offer guided tours through the Victorian village with original buildings such as the home of Thomas Hughes,'The Commissary 'a quaint apothecary, the Episcopal church, library and schoolhouse.
