Milford-on-Sea:
Milford-on-Sea is a quiet coastal village with spectacular views over the Sea to the Isle of Wight. Ferries across to the Island can be taken from Lymington and Keyhaven as can boat trips and fishing trips. A car is useful to enjoy the area but is not essential as there are buses to Lymington and from there to other New Forest villages and Southampton, and in the other direction to Bournemouth. It is the ideal place to explore the New Forest National Park and the stunning coastal areas. The area is a haven for wildlife lovers who can see horses, deer and the rare birds who frequent the salt marshes and coastal areas. Pine View Cottage is a delightful self-catering holiday home for both families and couples alike. It has TV/DVD with Freeview giving access to many TV channels as well as tourist information, games and books for your holiday enjoyment.
Parking and cycling:
The cottage is in a quiet no-through road in Milford-on-Sea with ample private parking for residents. There is access to the back garden where you can store bikes for safe keeping. Bikes are available to hire from many outlets and there are numerous cycle tracks throughout the New Forest National Park.
Swimming and beaches:
The quiet beaches at Milford - on- Sea are safe for swimming and great for people of all ages. Dogs are allowed all year round but are restricted to certain parts in the summer. More lively beaches are found in Bournemouth which boasts seven miles of golden sand, lifeguards and entertainment. There are plenty of beach car parks in Milford-on-Sea but why not walk from Pine View Cottage and save energy. There are toilets and cafes by the beach. Rush mats are left in the cottage for visitors to take to the beach. Beach huts are available to rent at Milford-on-Sea. Please enquire for prices. There are indoor swimming pools at the nearby towns of Lymington and New Milton. A short drive away in Bournemouth are many swimming pools with slides, waterparks, and fun activities for children and adults alike e.g. Splashdown, Littledown Centre. An ideal day out is the award winning Bournemouth Oceanian where you can see hundreds of awesome sea creatures from around the world.
