This story begins with two best friends, Margaret and LeeAnn who were high school teachers at Fort Knox High School in Kentucky. They spent many years vacationing with their husbands and kids in the Destin area. As their friendship grew, they wanted to continue these family traditions with their kids and grandkids...plant seeds and grow roots, if you will, inside the greatest community in Florida (maybe anywhere!), Seascape. So, Margaret and LeeAnn purchased unit 36B and fittingly named it the 'MarLee.' My mother Margaret was quite the tennis player and cherished this particular unit due to its close proximity to the tennis courts and pro shop. She had such a connection to the tennis pros and their families over the years, as did I, my twin sister Sandy and our older sister, Margo. The three of us now own this unit together. As for LeeAnn, well, she and her husband decided to expand and purchase their own place...just down the street from us! We can see their home from our front door. Our kids and LeeAnn's grandkids are just about the same age and play together, making their own memories and traditions inside the Seascape community.
The MarLee is so conveniently located to almost anything you need while vacation at the beach. The following is within walking distance; great coffee shop, Circle K convenient store, bike and beach essentials/rentals just a few minutes from the unit.
And the best part, it's unbelievably convenient yet private and exclusive. The Seascape resort is truly lovely and very established with full grown trees and extensive landscaping. And, you're likely to have an in-the-surf dolphin sighting at least once during your visit!
The unique benefits of this particular unit in the Seascape resort is it's premier location to the tennis courts/pro shop, pool, basketball court, golf course and a very short, scenic, safe walk to the beach. You can literally park your car and walk most everywhere you need to go! Silver Sands Outlets, Destin Commons, Baytowne Wharf Village, Smith's Antiques Mall, Sandestin, Seaside, etc., all within 10 minutes driving distance.
This unit is fully stocked with all the essentials of home along with a relaxing outdoor patio, lots of seating and a wonderful, nostalgic, wooden patio swing for all to enjoy!
When you leave the villa/condo and take a right just past the outdoor closet about 100 feet or so, you're on the tennis court and next door to the pool. If you decide to take a left and walk 100 yards, you will find yourself inside the Circle K convenient mart purchasing bottled waters, snacks, sunglasses and floats for the beach. A few feet from Circle K, you step foot into one of the coolest coffee shops around smelling the fresh brews. And next door to the coffee shop is the local bicycle rental shop. These three places alone are lifesavers when you're on vacation! 100 yards from this location is The Whale's Tail restaurant with wooden ramps to the beach that are accessible to almost anything with wheels. If you're hungry, thirsty, need to rinse off or use a restroom, you'll never have to leave the beach, thanks to The Whale's Tail - so convenient.
unit 36B is adjacent to a pool, tennis pro shop and basketball court; the unit has large bedrooms, roomy closets and baths; large patio with wooden porch swing, ample seating and grill; resort is very established with full grown landscaping creating a very private atmosphere; a short, safe walk to Circle K convenient mart and The Whale's Tail restaurant and pub located right on the beach; minutes driving distance to local outlet shopping, Sandestin and Baytowne Wharf; early morning dolphin sightings in the surf; great coffee shop within walking distance; Scenic Gulf bike path and walking trail along the resort and bordering the beach, nearly 5 miles; boutique shopping withing walking distance; all beach activity rentals within walking distance; 15 minute drive to the famous Picolo's Restaurant and The Red Bar in Grayton Beach.
