Where in the Village of Rockport can one have less than a five minute walk for a swim at family friendly Front Beach, maybe a live concert at the Shalin Liu Performance Center, or how about a signature Lobsta Roll while looking out on Motif #1 or, if need be, grab a train for a little more than an hour commute into/from Boston on the commuter rail? Hoping it is not the latter; the answer is #2A Holbrook Court. If commuting is part of a longer term rental, this is definitely your home away from home.
Walk down King Street 800 yds or stroll through Mill Pond Park and the playground and you arrive at Front Beach, the premier family beach right in the middle of the Village of Rockport. The surf is gentle with a gentle slope leading into the water. To your right you can see the shops, the Shalin Liu Performance Center and on out to Bearskin Neck for your shopping needs and that Lobster previously mentioned.
Everything is provided for you at 'your' home here in Rockport, fully furnished, including bedinens, towels, kitchen items and beach towels and chairs. Even if you are planning on doing some canning, look under the counter next to the sink. Sleeps 6 plus one child in private rooms, 2 more on single couches in common spaces. Two off-street parking spaces. Oh, and there's a piano!
Bring those clubs: The semi-private Rockport Golf Club is five minutes away. The course is available to non-members on weekdays and after 3:30PM on Weekends and Holidays. Non-members may arrange tee times one day in advance.
We're a family of two kids, two parents, way too blessed to complain!
We purchased this beautiful home to move our family to in a few years time, or to just use when we can between school schedules and other travels. It was too special to leave on the market!
Easy to find seclusion throughout the house or on the hammock on the second floor deck, or in the large yard; relaxing sea air and sunshine throughout. Easy, short walk to commuter train, beach, town, entertainment and parks.
Too many to name, so best to Google the Rockport/Gloucester area of Massachusetts, also known as Cape Ann, and see the many options for indoor and outdoor respite. Home is a five minute walk from numerous shops ranging from quaint and historic to modern chic. Beaches and activities for kids and adults galore. Dozens of art galleries. General setting is hundreds of years' old fishing and ship-owners' village (1600's) modernized as a very special year-round community.
