Showing off in South London, this lovely Victorian townhouse apartment has a spacious suburban style and a huge leafy garden. Fernlea view has a comfortable modern design, a soft colour palette and quality furnishings and has views over the garden and Fernlea Road. It offers a peaceful, welcoming setting and is popular with families visiting London. Located on the top (2nd) floor, this light and bright apartment has something of a 'penthouse' feel about it. There is a fully fitted kitchen, large lounge/diner, generously sized master bedroom, decent sized second double bedroom, and bathroom with full sized bath and shower. A shared (but none the less quiet) garden comes with the flat, complete with a decked patio, table and chairs, loungers and barbecue. But if it's wide open spaces you're after - for a stroll or a jog - Clapham, Wandsworth and Tooting Commons(boasting Europe's biggest open air swimming pool) are all within a few minutes walk.

Balham, 'Gateway to the South' is 'south of the river' in the London borough of Wandsworth, near Clapham. Just like neighbouring Clapham before it, Balham has undergone a massive transformation over recent years, and is now one of THE places to live for London commuters, young families and indeed celebrities (TV presenter Sarah Beeny, actor Rupert Penry-Jones, TV chef Ainsley Harriot...). With the huge advantage of having both overground and underground stations (2 minutes walk from the apartment and right next door to each other), getting to and from Balham could not be easier. The Northern Line tube can take you into central London in just 15 minutes. There are pleny of local shops & services, restaurants, wine bars and English pubs within metres of the apartment's front door. Winner of the Evening Standard award for Best London Pub 2002, the Bedford is a famous live music and comedy venue is located just steps away from the apartment .

  • A contract shall only arise when both your booking is confirmed in writing via a letter of confirmation sent by email.
    Booking, Rental Deposit & Security Deposit
    If the Booking is made within 8 weeks of your arrival date the whole of the Rental Sum (rent plus the final cleaning charge), is required with your Booking Form, together with a Security Deposit.
    If the Booking is made before 8 weeks prior to your arrival date, a Rental Deposit of 25% of the Rental Sum is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance of the Rental Sum, together with the Security Deposit is then due 8 weeks prior to your arrival.
    The Security Deposit will be returned to you within 10 days of check-out less any deductions, via the same method your booking was made, in accordance with the Terms & Conditions.
    We accept payment via debit or credit card (surcharge applies).
  • Cancellation or Change
    Cancellation fees depend on notice given and are as follows:
    More than 55 days prior to arrival 25% of total Rental Sum
    30 – 55 days prior to arrival: 50% of total Rental Sum; Security Deposit will be returned to the guest within 10 days of cancellation date
    Less than 30 days prior to arrival: 100% of Rental Sum; Security Deposit will be returned to the guest within 10 days of cancellation date
    Rental Deposit of 25% is non-refundable, even in the case of force majeure. We recommend that you purchase travel insurance with cancellation cover.
    Your Booking cannot be reduced in number of nights. If you require additional nights this may be possible at an additional charge.
    Cancellations or changes are best made via email and you should request a ‘read' receipt from us to ensure that we have seen it.

The history, the famous locations and buildings, the hundreds of activities to do, the thousands of shows and events on offer...and that's just in Central London. Even the 'highlights' depend on what takes your fancy. If you're a 'first timer' to London, of course you must see the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament and Big Ben), the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column, Downing Street, St Paul's, The Mall, Leicester Square, Convent Garden, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, Harrods, the British Museum... But where to stop? You'll never be bored, that's for sure!

Golf: Closest golf course is 3km away, but there are several in the area. Central London Golf Centre, Burntwood Lane, London, SW17 OAT. De voorzieningen in het appartement waren van een goed niveau. De ligging en daarmee de toegankelijkheid naar het openbaar vervoer zijn uitstekend. App. is voorzien van een tuin met 1e klas meubilair. Kortom goede locatie en inrichting.

Everything was 10/10. The size of the apartment and it's inclusions and furnishings were great. It was very close to the Tube station in Balham, which made for a quick and easy trip into town. Best of all there was a very large supermarket 2 minutes walk from the apartment. Thanks for providing such a great home away from home for us. It was our first time in London, but it won't be our last! I would definitely recommend Fernlea View to our friends.
