Due to its closeness to Oban, the 'Gateway to the Isles' and 'Seafood Capital of Scotland', there is plenty to do at Ballimore.
On the Estate you can cycle, walk, fish and explore the ruins of a small MacCorquodale castle which belonged to the family who inhabited the estate in the 11th century.
There are also plenty of other ventures to undertake...
Day trips to the Islands: Mull, Coll, Tiree, Barra, South Uist, Colonsay, Lismore and Islay, boat trips on Loch Etive, fishing at Loch Awe, wildlife photography with 'Loch Visions', cycling and mountain biking, diving, sea kayaking, hillwalking, ceilidh dancing or visits to Bonawe iron furnace in Taynuilt, Oban Distillery, Inverary Jail or the Cruachan power station. As it is a very historical area there are many castles to explore and beautiful or gardens to discover.
The nearest pub is only 3 miles from the house in Kilchrenan and those seeking restaurants, shops and nightlife will find a nice variety in Oban.
