Beachfront apartment (with lift access) offers rentals at exceptional value. On the beach a stunning newly built (2008), apartment block. Villa S is a 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment on the 3rd floor and has a large west facing balcony from which to enjoy golden sunsets. It is spacious and beautifully furnished with an en-suite bedroom, ceiling fans and air conditioning. A large open plan fully equipped kitchen leads to a tastefully furnished living room designed to appreciate the captivating views of the South Coast from every window. Tiled marble floors throughout give a unique Caribbean feel with space and light. Villa S offers top of the line finishes, granite counter tops mosaic tiles, cedar French doors and cedar sash windows. The communal 540sq ft pool with expanded sun deck has direct access on to a delightful secluded beach. St. Lawrence Gap is the restaurant and entertainment hub of the island, yet the property is situated in a quiet secluded area.

Paradise!

We stayed at this property for a week in April - needless to say, this review is long overdue! I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was and how great these owners were to work with (as well as the property management company they use)!

From booking, the property management (Juliet & Franklin) was available to assist with airport transfers, tour bookings, etc. We used them for airport transfers - the gentlemen that provided our transfers were polite and shared ideas of things to do while on the island. Juliet set up the transfers so that we paid them directly so that we didn't have to deal with the exchange rate with the drivers. Juliet met us at the property, showed us around and offered to assist with any tours or other aspects of our trip.

This condo is perfectly located on the outskirts of the St. Lawrence Gap - definitely within walking distance of the restaurants and bars. It provides the best of both worlds as you can get to the restaurants and night life easily, but the condo itself is located in a quiet area. The condo and the rest of the grounds are very clean and are also secure (you need a key fab to get in the building). They also have a security guard outside overnight.

Right next door to the condos is a little bar called Tyrone's which we also enjoyed. The owner, Tyrone, is a great guy and having a drink and catching up with him was a great way to start our evenings. The beach directly outside is nice and quiet, but once you enter the water it is a little rocky. There is also a beautiful, more popular beach about 5 minutes down the road (walking distance).

We have been to many destinations in the Caribbean, but this is our favorite to date. We will definitely be visiting Barbados again and would stay at this property again in a heartbeat!

A little escape from reality...

I fell in love with this property looking at the pictures and I was not disappointed. The pictures were exactly what the condo looked like. The villa is well taken care of, it is new, there is security, the staff were helpful and the beach was nice. The villa is located at the end of the St. Lawrence Gap and as we went to the Gap almost every night it was close enough to walk and far enough to not be overly noisy. Everything we needed was within walking distance, however the supermarket across the street is a bit expensive.

I was looking for a relaxing vacation with my boyfriend, somewhere that we could feel "at home" so to speak. Having private balcony to eat our meals on, a sofa and dvd player to watch movies, and a fridge to keep our own food and drinks made this a perfect vacation. We were not rushed and could move at our own pace whereas if we were at a hotel the staff would be coming to clean on a daily basis and we'd have to make sure we were out of the room. The kitchen had all the amenties, untensils and dinnerware we needed. Wine just does not taste the same if it's not in a wine glass so that was much appreciated!

The villa is located on a beach. The beach is secluded and you can bring the chairs from the villa onto the beach but there isn't a bar that we could get drinks from like at the nearby Dover Beach which was only a 10 minute walk away. There is a bar just at the front of the hotel and we enjoyed the nightly music. We wanted to be close to the nightlife, restaurants, bars and beaches and still have a romantic relaxing holiday. We got the best of both worlds.

I would definitely stay here again and hope to in the near future.

5 star stay at Villa S

Stayed here in April for our first year anniversary! Cannot recommend this villa enough! Had an amazing holiday!
Located in a very quiet area of the Gap. Its about a 10-15 minute walk into the central Gap but it has restaurants and bars on the walk up.

Villa is very secure with a car park also if you hire a car which Id highly recommend to get around the island! There also is a security guard ther at night! We felt so safe staying here!

The villa is spotlessly clean with everything you could need on your holiday! It really is home from home!
It is also cleaned twice a week towels are replaced etc.

If you have any problems during your stay there letting agent Juliette was so professional and helpful and was always on hand!

The villa also had a small pool underneath the villas and had there own personal sun loungers which you can use at the private pool or on the beach! Really lovely beach called dover beach is a 5 minute walk away which we went to most days!

There also is a local supermarket across the road from the villa which is handy to buy some bits&bobs!

While we were there we did a boat trip with SILVERSEA! Snorkelling,swimming with the turtles. This is a must. So worth the extra few dollars the boat was so luxurious! Also cannot recommend enough is Champers restaurant and The Tides! Both were amazing restaurants!

Lastly I Cannot thank Richard& Lisa enough for his kindness with regard the volcanic ash situation. We nearly were not able to get to Barbados but luckily the ash cleared and we got to visit for 8 nights!
They couldnt be any more understanding and helpful.

We definitely are going to come back to visit Barbados again it is such a beautiful island with lots to offer to young and old and will most definitely stay at Richard& Lisas whitesands villa for sure wouldnt stay anywhere else!

Outstanding !

What a great apartment! Location is excellent, just a 5 minute stroll to "The Gap" were you will find many bars ane eateries - nice and chilled out with spectacular ocean side dining, Josephs, Picies and Tapas(really great but a Taxi ride rather than a stroll - really great place) were our fovourites. Also just a short taxi ride to Oistins were you can enjoy the Friday night "Fish Fry" which is not to be missed. Just around the corner from the apartment you have a couple of supermarkets, and the greatest find of all Scottys - its an Bajan cafe were the locals flock for the best tasting homemade food EVER!

The apartment was spotless and finished to an exceptionally high standard. The agents Churchfields were great and helped in every way to make our stay wonderful. We would definately recomend you to stay here and experience the true Barbados

We did hire a driver and toured the entire coast of the Island which takes approx 5 hours. North coast and Bridgetown were interesting. We paid $250 Barbados, which was about the same as hiring a car, just less of a chore.

The beach is directly infront of the White Sands Villas and was never busy when we stayed in May, the pool was quiet too. Ther are some rocks in the water, so we would reccomend reef shoes for swimming - just to be on the safe side.

Great apartment, safe, on the beach and probably the best location on the South coast. Thanks Richard & Lisa!

excellent location

We stayed here with our 5 year old daughter and had a lovely time. The location is excellent for exploring the island and the Gap. The apartment is very clean and high spec with everything you could need! Also very safe and secure with a space for parking.
