London Vacation Rental apartment: Notting Hill / Holland Park

My family stayed in this apartment in Notting Hill, and were so pleased with the accommodations as well as with the location. It was so nice to wake up each morning to look out onto the beautiful private gardens. The decor of the apartment is pleasing as well. There is plenty of storage space, nice bathrooms and bedrooms, a modern well-equipped kitchen with beautiful cabinetry, and a family-sized table for sharing meals. It is an open floor plan, so the entire living area gets great light from the large windows overlooking the garden.

The location could not have been better for us. As the apartment is situated between Holland Park and Hyde Park, both beautiful parks are just a few minutes walk and provide a wonderful retreat from the city, which was especially ideal with children. Our children were so impressed with the adventure playground at Holland Park, calling it the "best park ever!". The flat is also within easy walking distance of both Notting Hill Gate and Kensington High Street, both lined with all kinds of shops, and both with convenient tube stations giving easy access to all parts of the city. There were also some very good restaurants within walking distance of the apartment, as well as several very nice bakeries.

On Saturday mornings from 9am-1pm there is a Farmers' Market just below Notting Hill Gate and off of Kensington Church Street. We were able to buy excellent cheese, fruits and vegetables, fresh fruit juices, butter, milk, eggs, preserves, baked quiche, and there were many other items for sale as well including breads, meats and poultry and fresh pasta.

The customer service was excellent. The property manager was easy to reach, friendly and easy to talk to, and genuinely cared about our experience. At the end of our stay he took suggestions on how to make the flat an even better place for its next inhabitants.

We would not hesitate to stay here again on a future trip.
