Well appointed 2 bedroom, 2 bath, sleeps 4 adults & 2 children. Very spacious living area with flat screen TV & Hi-fi. and generous bedrooms and terrace.

Apartment is in the centre of the pretty Campos de Guadalmina Golf courses in the typical Andalucian town of San Pedro de Alcantara. Covered terrace faces the swimming pool of the 5* Barceló Golf hotel and beyond that to the Marbella mountains. Complex is within a gated community, with secure underground parking. Choice of two swimming pools within the complex cater for both adults and children, plenty of play areas. Lots of local shopping within walking distance in San Pedro with restaurants, bars.

Beautiful blue Costa del Sol beaches within 1km. Puerto Banus (3km) and Marbella (5km). Perfect base for day trips to Ronda, Granada, Seville and a boat trip to Tangier in Africa!

Read more of this apartment at the owners website: Local Events: Each region within Spain have a few of their very own particular holidays. The Spanish take their holidays and festivals seriously and make a huge effort to dress up and join in, usually until the early hours of the morning.

Shopping : The Costa del Sol is a paradise for shopping, usually at lower prices compared with the UK, though the recent decline in the value of the pound has dented that advantage quite a bit. The largest shopping centre is La Cañada on the Marbella ring road. At Puerto Banús, there is a vast El Corte Inglés and many designer shops. On the way into Estepona, there is a Carrefour hypermarket and many other shops. On the other side of Estepona, there is an “outlet” shopping centre.

Sports : There are 12 superb golf courses within a short drive from the apartment.

How to get there: Málaga is the closest airport, 70km away and about 50 minutes drive, with many flights from various UK airports. Alternatively, Gibraltar and Jerez airports are within one hour’s drive but offer less flights. Seville and Granada are about two and three hours respectively.

Day Excursions: RONDA: is a famous Andalusian “white town”, about an hour away, very attractive, and situated over a dramatic gorge setting. The road to Ronda is superb, climbing through hills, surrounded by trees.

Longer-distance excursions worth considering are:

MALAGA: about an hour away, which has an attractive old town, and the Picasso museum.

JEREZ; after which Sherry is named, about an hour away on the Atlantic coast.

ALGEIRAS; about an hour away, from where you can catch the boat to Morocco, an exciting trip for a day or perhaps overnight.

GIBRALTER; about 45 minutes away, the big rock still a little patch of Britain. (Don't forget your passport!)

SEVILLE; about two hours away, the cultural and historical capital of southern Spain.

CORDOBA: A truly historic town and the main centre of Moorish Spain.

GRANADA; three hours away, with the world famous Alhambra palace.

This apartment in a quite area in the heart of the Costa del Sol, surrounded by a host of leisure facilities. Located on the two Guadalmina golf courses means golf lovers are spoilt for choice. Marbella with its beautiful streets and squares is a 10 min drive. Puerto Banus with its abundance of restaurants, bars, shops, casino, night life and expensive yachts is a 5 min drive away. San Pedro with its quaint streets and squares is within easy walking distance. A host of amenities including restaurants, banks and a supermarket are at the end of the road. The beach is a 2 min drive, or 10 min walk away. The beach promenade offers many cafes bars and restaurants. A fantastic cable skiing facility is close by that the whole family will enjoy. The Selwo Animal Safari Park is not far and a must see for all ages. Gibraltar is only a 30 min drive down the coast where you can shop, sight see or get a boat over to Morocco.

The bed and mattresses in all the bedrooms have been carefully chosen to provide a firm yet comfortable support for the back. All linen and towels are provided. Plenty of built in wardrobe space in the corridor leading to the main bedroom. There is an ironing board and iron, as well as a hair-dryer. Since this apartment is for family holidays, we do not allow smoking inside. Pool is open from May to August in the season. Children have their own separate pool besides most of the adult pools but must be supervised at all times. The terrace is north-west facing and stays refreshingly cool in the hottest of weather, thus no air-conditioning is required. (The locals always avoid south facing apartments!) There is plenty of gardens and poolside sun for real sun-lovers. Apartment access from parking to front door by lift, so perfect for wheelchair users.
