The apartment is in the centre of the luxurious Campos de Guadalmina Golf course in the typical Andalucian town of San Pedro de Alcantara. This 1st floor apartment with a covered terrace facing the swimming pool and bathing area of the 5* Barceló Golf hotel and beyond that towards the Marbella Concha mountains. Guadalmina complex is within a gated community accessed by a remote access and underground parking serviced by a lift. Numerous swimming pools within the complex cater both adults and children, plenty of play areas. San Pedro has a range of supermarkets, shops, restaurants, bars within a short walking distance and beaches within 1km. Puerto Banus (3km) and Marbella (5km). Perfect base for day trips to Ronda, Granada, Seville and a boat trip to Tangier in Africa! Lovely property for a family holiday, serviced by a local friendly keyholder.

This apartment in a quite area in the heart of the Costa del Sol, is surrounded by a host of leisure facilities. Located on the Guadalmina golf courses means golf lovers are spoilt for choice, no wonder the Costa del Sol is also known as the Costa del Golf. Marbella with its beautiful streets and squares is a 10 min drive. Puerto Banus with its abundance of restaurants, bars, shops, casino, night life and expensive yachts is a short drive away. San Pedro with its quaint streets and squares is within easy walking distance. A host of amenities including restaurants, banks and a supermarket are at the end of the road. The beach is a 5 min drive down the road with many bars and restaurants for your use. A fantastic cable skiing facility is close by that the whole family will enjoy. The fantastic Selwo Animal Safari Park is not far and a must see for all ages. Gibraltar is only a 30 min drive down the coast where you can shop, sight see or get a boat over to Morocco.

  • A reservations deposit of 50% is required. The FULL BALANCE is payable no later than 8 weeks prior to arrival at the property. On arrival a cash deposit of €200 will also need to be paid to the local key holder which is fully refundable on the return of keys and confirmation that no loss or damage has occurred during your stay at the property. Bookings made within 8 weeks of departure require full payment.

Notes: Since this apartment is for family holidays, we do not allow smoking inside or in the terrace area. Pool is open from May to August in the season. Children have their own separate pool besides most of the adult pools but must be supervised at all times. The terrace is north-west facing and stays refreshingly cool in the hottest of weather, thus no air-conditioning is required. (The locals always avoid south facing apartments!) There is plenty of gardens and poolside sun for real sun-lovers. Not common for Spain the apartment does have gas central heating for the chillier winter season.

In addition it seems that each region within Spain has a few of their very own particular holidays. The Spanish take their holidays and festivals seriously and make a huge effort to dress up and join in, usually until the early hours of the morning. Shopping The Costa del Sol is a paradise for shopping, usually at lower prices compared with the UK, though the recent decline in the value of the pound has dented that advantage quite a bit. The largest shopping centre is La Cañada on the Marbella ring road. At Puerto Banús, there is a vast El Corte Inglés and many designer shops. On the way into Estepona, there is a Carrefour hypermarket and many other shops. On the other side of Estepona, there is an “outlet” shopping centre. Sports There are 12 superb golf courses within a short drive from the apartment.

How to get there: Málaga is the closest airport, 70km away and about 50 minutes drive, with many flights from various UK airports. Alternatively, Gibraltar and Jerez airports are within one hour’s drive but offer less flights. Seville and Granada are about two and three hours respectively. Airlines flying to these airports from the UK include Easyjet, Ryanair, British Airways, Iberia, Thomson, Thomas Cook, Monarch, and XL. Try using flight search engines to get the best combination of airport, timing and price, such as www.skyscanner.net orwww.traveljungle.co.uk. There are extensive car rental facilities immediately after the arrivals door at Málaga airport. Again, the Internet allows you to find a good deal. We’ve found that if you book online and pay in advance with Hertz, you get a good price with a top company (and although you pay in advance, you can still cancel for a full refund). www.hertz.co.uk We have also hired cars from www.drivespain.com and www.europcar.com and have been OK.

Day Excursions: Ronda is a famous Andalusian “white town”, about an hour away, very attractive, and situated over a dramatic gorge setting. The road to Ronda is superb, climbing through hills, surrounded by trees, without a building in sight. Highly recommended. Longer-distance excursions worth considering are: · Málaga, about an hour away, which has an attractive old town, and the Picasso museum. · Jerez, after which Sherry is named, about an hour away on the Atlantic coast. · Algeciras, about an hour away, from where you can catch the boat to Morocco, an exciting trip for a day or perhaps overnight. · Gibraltar, about 45 minutes away, the big rock still overlooking a little patch of Britain. (Don't forget your passport!) · Seville, about two hours away, the cultural and financial capital of southern Spain. · Cádiz, about two hours away, a beautiful, crumbling town, dramatically situated on a peninsula. · Granada, three hours away, with the world famous Alhambra palace.
