We are classed as North Worcestershire, the Worcestershire Way walk goes through Heightington, a popular walking route, length 36 miles. On our doorstep we have a 13th century Chapel built for King John to use when hunting in the Wyre Forest, another attraction only 2 miles away, where you can deer watch, have a fungi foray and a dawn chorus walk amongst colossal oak trees and many more species. In Bewdley you will find the Severn Valley Railway, where you can take a steam train to Bridgnorth, a trip well worth doing or spend the day at West Midland Safari Park,see their famous white lions plus many other rare & wonderful animals, plenty to amuse all ages. Areley & Bodenham arboretums are both exceptional places, both within a distance of 10 miles. Worcester, a half hour drive has a spectacular Cathedral, a popular Racecourse, good shopping and Elgars birthplace not far out of town. Malvern Hills, a little further on than Worcester, offers amazing views of the county and walks.
