The front door of the villa opens into a fully furnished living/dining room with colour TV and music centre, off the dining area is a fully equiped kitchen. From the living room are the two bedrooms with the bathroom between. Bedroom one has a double bed and built in wardrobe, and a french door leads to the rear terrace. Bedroom two has two single beds and a built in wardrobe, the window at the front of the villa has views down the valley.

The local town of Aljezur is approx 10 mins drive away, it is a historic town with several Museums and a castle ruin to visit. It also has a range of shops including gift shops, banks and post office. There is a daily market and also farmers market once a week. There are also a variety of restaurants to choose from. At Vale da Telha there is a selection of small shops and restaurants all within walking distance of the villa.

Bird Watching: Being in a Natural Park the area around Vale da Telha and down the coast to Sagres and Cape St Vincent has an abundance of migratory and resident species.

Beaches and Surfing : Surfing is very popular in the area especially at the local beachs of Arrifana and Carrapateira. The south coast surfing hot spots are only a short drive away. Local beaches of Monte Clerigo ,Amoreira and Odeceixe are well worth a visit.

Other Activities: Several golf clubs are across the Algarve a slightly longer drive away

We spent a week in the Villa Mariah in October 2007 and we used it as a base for a walking holiday. The villa is located in a national park and the views from the property are spectacular. The local beach is free of the usual Algarve crowds and is an enjoyable walk from the villa. There is a handful of good restaurants within walking distance that are run by local Portuguese families.
The villa is pristine and the owners couldn't have been more helpful. The private pool is perfect for a relaxing dip after a long walk.
Looking forward to going back there this October.

We found the villa clean and well equipped with a lovely BBQ and terrace area, the owners were very friendly and gave us lots of information on the local area, shops, cafes etc. We particularly liked that it is a family friendly villa, the pool is fenced off with a locked gate which gives peace of mind for parents with young children.We have had two holidays in this villa (sep 07 & sep 08) and will be returning, we enjoyed both the villa and exploring the local beaches. You do need a car but if your happy to drive there are lots of lovely beaches/places to visit within a short drive.
