6 Bedroom 3 Bathroom House Sleeps 11 - 13. Wifi & Pool Table. 2 Pets Welcome

Blaven can sleep up to 13 guests in 2 King Size or Twin Bedded Rooms, 1 Double Room with 5ft Bed or Twin Beds.1 Double with 4ft 6 Bed. 1 Twin Room and 1 Single Room.There are 2 folding beds also available. There are 2 Bathrooms and 1 Shower Room as well as a cloakroom on the ground floor.

The ground floor has a large Kitchen / Dining Room, 2 Sitting Rooms and a Games Room with small Pool Table. There is also a laundry room and boot room for storing outdoor clothing. The garden has a table and chairs and BBQ and there is also a play area for children.

2 Night weekend breaks are available from 4pm on Friday with a late 4pm check out on Sundays only. We also accept American Express.

The house can be rented for smaller parties of 7, please ask for reduced rates (please note these are not available at peak times)

Blaven is situated on the edge of the town of Oban, the centre is about a 15 minute walk away. It's elevated position ensures outstanding views from just about every window in the house. Oban is the Gateway to the Isles and ferry services to many Scottish Islands are a five minute drive from the house. As well as being an idyllic family holiday home Blaven also provides the ideal base for bird watchers, fishermen, photographers, visiting the Gardens of Argyll and Munro Bagging!

There is also a sea plane service which runs from Glasgow into Oban Bay and you will see the house as you fly in!

Wonderful large house with fantastic views.

We spent a week at Blaven which is a lovely home with plenty of room to relax and spread out. Well catered for children. It is very easily accessible to Oban town. The views are beautiful and we particularly enjoyed sitting in the sun watching the sun go down at night. We hope to return one day.

Owner had thought of it all! Wonderful place.

Blaven is one of the best places we've ever stayed! Spent a wonderful holiday there with great friends and precious memories. Rooms are large, beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Layout of the house is very nice and functional. Overall the property is so welcoming and the owner has thought of pretty much every need. The reason I haven't given the property 5 stars is because of the lack of hot water two nights in a row. Even after the property manager came and changed the settings, we still didn't have enough hot water towards the end of the day. If you're renting this property, please do ensure that the water heaters in the utility room are set to the 'on' setting, not automatic or timed. Other than that one issue, the property is fabulous! Highest recommendations without any reservations!

Wonderful large family retreat

We were looking for a large house to take a family of 11 (age range 20 months to pensioner) for a week and came across Blaven. We found the accommodation easily and were immediately impressed with the property. What you see on the web is what you get in reality. The property was immaculate when we arrived and catered for all ages within the group. A large range of activities within the house, and a superb barbeque in the garage, made for a wonderful week. The views from the house are stunning and when you do the circular walk around Kereera Island, you can see the prominence of the house on Pulpit Hill.
Fabulous sea food restaurant on the quayside - highly recommended but book well in advance. For the sporting type, the golf club at Glencruitten is a real gem, so much so we managed 2 rounds in 1 day. Extremely friendly team greeted us on 1st tee and explained every hole - which we needed. Also nearby is the Inverawe Smokery where you can practice your fly fishing and, if fortunate to catch anything, can keep up to 4 fish.
If you want peace and quiet, Blaven has it. If you want activities close by, Blaven has it. If you want decent long or short walks nearby, then Blaven is the place for you.

I can highly recommend Blaven for large family getaways as it has something for everyone.
