Photos and Description of the London vacation apartment rental One bedroom apartment in Central London, Zone 1.

This lovely apartment is perfect for either a romantic week away, someone travelling on business and especially good for someone who has come to discover the sights of London. The apartment itself is on the lower ground floor of a grade 2 Georgian listed building. Its location is a perfect base for sight-seeing, and all the more traditional tourist attractions. It is a quiet, peaceful street yet very close to the tube station. Only a one minute walk to Highbury and Islington tube station (zone 1), it is a 15 minute ride straight into the heart of Soho, Oxford St. and the city, 10 minutes to Kings Cross and the Eurostar and 20 minutes to Regents Park and the London zoo! In 30 minutes you can reach any famous London Landmark. We have just finished renovation so everything in the apartment is brand new. The bed is a generous super king-size - 6ft x 6ft 6 inches to ensure a sound nights sleep, and we have also installed a beautiful marble fireplace for cosy evenings indoors.

Car: not necessary
This fantastic location is hard to beat - The vibrant local area is one of our finest. In Islington, with its main st (Upper st.) full of bustling bars and restaurants, you can find any kind of cuisine from Thai, Indian, French and Turkish, to good old fashioned fish and chips. The many modern bars and traditional pubs nearby offer anything from a pint of old stout, to a heady cocktail. It boasts three of London’s most famous theatres – The Almeida, The Barbican and Sadlers’s wells, each consistently showing some of the best National and International plays, classical music and ballet. For antique shops full of old English design, take a walk to Camden Passage, and its narrow back streets and you will be sure to find perculiar old artefacts and one off 1920’s dresses. A 10 minute cab ride will take you to Shoreditch – a famously hip part of town, favoured for its cool bars and if you're up early enough, The Columbia Rd. flower market is a must see on Sunday Mornings!

A True Home Away From Home

Zoe's apartment was a breath of fresh air for this couple of weary travelers !

After living out of our suitcases for a week, in a very cramped Paris flat, my wife and I breathed a great sigh of relief the minute we crossed the threshold of this lovely flat !

It is wonderfully situated. A two minute walk has you at an underground station on the Victoria line; and from here, you are only minutes away from all the wonderful sights that London has to offer.
(be sure to purchase an Oyster Card in order to make substantial savings on public transit fares). As well, all of the daily amenities are just steps away from the front door : pubs, restaurants, fast food, grocery stores and an internet cafe are right across the road.
If you are a football (soccer) fan, you are within easy walking distance of Arsenal's home field.

The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, spacious, bright and comfortable. It is equipped with all of the conveniences of home.
We couldn't have been happier!

Zoe was very easy to deal with. She responded quickly to all of our e-mails and, while we never needed it, she gave us her personal phone number and told us to call at any time. Our secrity deposit was returned to us in full within days of our departure .

We hope to return to London in the near future and there is no doubt that we will re-book this apartment.

My boyfriend and I spent 7 nights in this apartment in late August 2009. We both had a fantastic week largely due to staying in this apartment. The location is superb – very close to Islington & Highbury tube station and lots of bus routes too. If not wanting to travel there are lots of restaurants, pubs, cafes, clothing shops etc in walking distance of the apartment. Whilst close to the tube and bus stations the street is nice and quiet and we both felt very safe in the area and in the apartment.

The apartment itself was more than we expected. The bedroom was very roomy and comfortable with ample storage space for our belongings. The living room was equally large with a very comfy sofa and pretty snazzy TV. The apartment was very tastefully decorated which created a contemporary, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The kitchen and bathroom were excellent. The bathroom was a great size and the kitchen was well stocked and equipped with modern appliances. On a couple of nights we had some Londoner friends over for dinner and they were extremely envious of this apartment.

The added value of this apartment is the owner who is friendly, helpful and relaxed. The perfect person you want to deal with when you are on holiday in a new city. I couldn't recommend this apartment highly enough. We will be back. Enjoy!

This well appointed apartment has great facilities. It is a very clean and well maintained contemporary apartment. Transport links into central London are very convenient on both bus and underground. Islington itself is full of restaurants and bars and has a great vibe, all within easy walking distance. Zoe (the owner) is really helpful and accessible. Definitely recommend to a friend and would stay again.

Islington Flat

Florence8 Moraga, California USA
Review Submitted: June 20, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We recently had the pleasure of staying in this lovely lower flat while visiting our son and his family. It looked exactly as pictured with updated bath, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable king-size bed. The narrow stairs from the entry may be an issue for anyone with disabilities but we had no problem at all. We were adjacent to busy Upper Street but any noise was muffled by the park in front of the building. Tube and bus stops are a minute or two away. A little grocery store is right across the street. Great shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. This flat was perfectly located for us but we would stay here again even if we didn't have family close by!
