Beautifully appointed family home with lovely furnishings. Situated in picturesque village of Erlestoke, perfect for walking (woods across road), cycling (on + off road), golf (championship length course in village) and pub lunches (plenty, including gastro in area). An excellent base for visiting nearby Bath, Salisbury, StoneHenge, Longleat, Lacock + more. As featured in Sunday Times Home Magazine. Sleeps 4+2 children. The 18th century cottage is believed to be part of the Old Court House. The large kitchen has an 8 seater table, sofa & french doors that open out onto a south facing walled garden. The lounge has a large open fire, a grand sofa & leather fireside chair (both Laura Ashley). Upstairs, there are 2 delightful double bedrooms and 1 child's room. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated with quality beds, bedlinen and towels. Deep window seats, solid beams and original paneled doors all add to the rural charm of this relaxing retreat. Perfect for families and romantics!

  • We cannot guarantee that we will accept 3 nights stays. We will confirm at time of enquiry.

    * Friday or Saturday is the preferred changeover day. If this is unsuitable please let us know and we will advise on whether we can accommodate your request.

    * A £75 deposit is payable at time of booking. The balance (i.e. remaining cost) is due 8 weeks before arrival date (or immediately if the booking date is less than 8 weeks away). A £150 security deposit and £45 cleaning charge is payable with the balance. The security deposit is refunded 7 days after departure, assuming there are no damages/losses.
  • Guests are requested to arrive after 3pm and agree to vacate no later than 10.00am.

    * The cottage is kept to a very high standard and by staying at 2 Yew Tree cottage you agree to treat it with due care, respect and consideration.
  • The rental charges are fully inclusive of electricity, gas, heating, bed linen and towels.

Option to add another bed by using an electronic inflatable mattress, inflates and deflates in seconds. Curved edges make it safe for children, helping to ensure they don't fall out. Several gorgeous local pubs, including gastro in the nearby villages. Small children's play area in park 5 mins walk from cottage. COE church in village. Catholic church 3 miles away. Small supermarket 5 min drive away. Cottage equipped with fully loaded ipod, Sat Nav, picnic hamper (with 4 piece china), 2 adult bikes, one with toddler seat. Buggy, Carraway Golf clubs, highchair. Box room off the lounge houses iron, iron board and high season garden furniture. Garden has brick built bbq and garden furniture in the summer. In the winter months there is a garden bench. Some DVDs, books, mags + toys, including thomas tank, ride-on cars, blocks, books discreetly stored.

Championship Length Golf Course: Opened in 1992, Erlestoke is a fascinating 18-hole championship length downland course set amidst mature trees and woodland in 175 acres of beautiful Wiltshire countryside on the northern edge of Salisbury plain. A warm and genuine welcome awaits in the friendly well-appointed clubhouse. There is a fully-stocked Pro Shop. Golf lessons are available from the club professional. Built on two levels, the course offers wide and lush fairways on the upper section - with mature oak trees and attractive lakes dissecting the 11th and 12th fairways on the level below. One of the finest holes in the west country, the spectacular 170 yard, par-3 seventh has been described as the most picturesque in the county. It plunges from an elevated tee to a large green 100 feet below. Every hole presents a new and different challenge and with four alternative length courses, it is suitable for every standard of golfer, from the novice to the very low handicapper.
