First Holiday Rentals Renters

As a group of golfers we have been visiting Dusquesa for the last 8 years. We have stayed for the majority of these years at The Dusquesa Marina Apts. Whilst looking through Holiday Rentals I noticed this apartment in the Mykonos Block which is even more convenient. Parking is secure and very convenient.
The apartment was exactly as advertised in every respect.
It was clean and very well maintained, no complaints at all. Whilst we were there the whole apartment block was being repainted, something the Dusquesa Marina Apts desparately needs opposite. The pool area was comfortable, well kept, with plenty of sunbeds
The owner, Stan was extremely helpful from the initial enquiry, giving clear and thorough instuctions and supplying keys by post well within time limits.
I would recommend this apartment without any worries to anyone looking for top class value.
As to Dusquesa itself I have never seen it so quiet and unfortunately some of the bars, restaurants and the golf courses are not assisting with their ridiculous prices. It seems from last year that many have put their prices up excessively without any realisation that their big spenders "the Brits" are suffering exchange rate problems.
Why does the Spanish business mentallity try to beat a downturn in business by putting up prices?
The are a couple of bars (Brit owned) that are showing the way by having happy hours from 5 - 9 pm, these are the Oasis and the new one next door to it. The numbers of people in them show this is very successful, especially as the Spanish owned bars nearby are in contrast, empty.
The restaurants, especially the Italian ones are a complete rip off, their prices have gone through the roof since last year, and in the case of the El Capitano the fare on offer this year was very poor. The restaurants that had recognised the present credit position were the Chinese under Kinsales on the front, the Passage to India, again on the front. Both offer good food at fair prices and show their appreciation of your custom with a free farewell drink!
On the first floor opposite Kinsales is a carvery, I think called Browns, this is good value and have some good a la carte selections as well. If you really wish to have a really good meal and pay the price Macues is excellent. Finally the take away Pizza place is good, especially as you can buy just in slices!
Golf is expensive but best discounts can be had at Gaston Golf back of Billy the Fish
