Beautiful Private Villa with Pool

Recently fully refurbished private holiday villa with pool, 4 double bedrooms, 3 En-suite bathrooms,1 Separate bathroom. Villa has two large reception rooms with new open plan fully fitted kitchen, both reception rooms open onto south facing terrace which includes outside kitchen/dining area with its own Clay Oven & BBQ. The villa has its own private solar heated swimming pool surrounded by sunbathing terraces. The swimming pool terrace is now fully gated for extra security for families with young children. All rooms are fully air-conditioned, The master bedroom has its own private sun terrace. There is also a mezzanine area which can accommodate additional sleeping for two people. Villa La Passe is set in one acre of terraced olive grove, close to the beautiful Provencal village of Claviers. The village has two restaurants, bar, wine shop, boulangerie and village store. The villa is situated a 10 minute walk from the village centre with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Parking for two cars is available on the private gated drive

The property was completely Refurbished during 2008/9 The villa has been tiled throughout with Travetine Marble floor tiles. All bathrooms have been completely refurbished and re-tiled. Externally 2 New sun bathing terraces have been created at the lower and upper pool levels. The property is south facing and is in the sun all day long however the outside kitchen terrace provides welcome retreat from the sun with beautiful views overlooking the pool to the south. The outside kitchen has a childs safety gate and offers a shaded area for small children during the day. The outside kitchen is fully fitted with sink, fridge traditional BBQ and Clay Oven. The garden terraces are filled with Olive and Fig trees and back on to a natural forest. there is parking for 2 cars on the driveway and more parking outside the property.

Amazing Place, how sweet the view!

The perfect place to chill out after a hard day lounging in the sun by the pool or sightseeing . What can I say about this beautiful place? Apart from, take me back! The photographs nowhere near do it just it, you have to be there to feel the warm breeze from the olive grove on your face as you sit on one (of many) verandas with a nice cool glass in your hand.
Everything was provided it's better equipped than your own home, unless of course you have an outside kitchen on a sun drenched veranda with a view over the valley.
The house itself is sympathetically and tastefully decorated, the beds comfortable and in spacious rooms, all of which have doors opening onto a balcony.
The living areas themselves, indoor and outdoor are huge, plenty of seating areas and (if it takes your fancy) dancing areas! It is a very sociable house, perfect for families and/or friends as plenty of places to be together but enough room to disappear to your own space.
Claviers itself is gorgeous and only a short walk from the house. We ate a a lovely restaurant called Olivier (I think) highly recommended and reasonably priced. The local bar is Frencher (is that a real word?) than Gerard Depardieu's beret and well worth a visit to mix with the welcoming locals.
You simply must take a morning stroll down to the Boulangerie in Claviers every morning to get freshly baked bread and croissants, absolutely to die for.
Can't recommend it highly enough.
Go there! You know you want to!

Fabulous House..Amazing Location!

After a pleasant drive from Nice we arrived at the property. The location is perfect with a spectacular and unspoiled view over olive groves, forest and mountains but just a short stroll into Claviers for supplies!

The house itself has been decorated and furnished to the highest standard with everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay. We particularly liked the terrace with outdoor kitchen and large dining facilities overlooking the pool and mountains.

The layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms are ideal for several couples or a large family as everyone had their own "space" and bathroom which you don't always get in this sort of property.

The property was spotless when we arrived and exceeded our expectations from the website. We will definately be returning to this beautiful house and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Our 1st Provencale experience, + it was delightful

We have an amazing time here. It made me reflect on the old TV programme "A Year in Provence", and wish we were spending one here. A ideal blend of quiet idyll and local amenities made for an excellent time.

I can sincerely recommend a stay here.

Heavenly Bliss

This is the best French villa we have stayed in yet, perfect size for 2 families with young children.
The villa surpassed our expectations, plenty of room and in tranquille surroundings.The villa had all the equipment and facilities that we needed
The villa is 10mins walk down a quite country lane from the village of claviers.
The owners and local contact were very helpful and very easy to contact about our queries.
The swimming pool was superb and a trip to Lac du Cassien for a swim is a must!!
Sitting at night time on the outside terrace looking over the unspoilt countryside, pool lights on, the pizza oven lit, sitting round that big wooden table was heavenly bliss.
Oh how I wish to be back there !!

Easy summer living

The best recommendation I can give this property is to say that we're currently hoping to book our third visit!

Villa La Passe provides comfortable, clean, easy living a pleasant walk from the village (and boulangerie). On our visits to the area we have eaten well in Claviers, Callas, Bargemon, Seillans and Fayence though it is sometimes difficult to tear ourselves away from the villa and its various terraces around the pool. There is a small food-based market in Claviers and a larger, more general one in Callas - both on Saturdays - and plenty of vineyards around. (The nearest we found, five minutes down the road, is run by the [grown up!] small boy from The Red Balloon film.) However it does make sense to stock up at a larger supermarket en route, as once you've arrived in Claviers, you don't really want to leave again in a hurry! When driving from the UK, the route is via le Muy, a half-hour drive away, where there is a good supermarket (and also a large Sunday Provencal market.)

It is definitely worth going to the Gorges du Verdon - amazing scenery, although in the summer heat any walking (route books of circular walks available locally) needs to be started early in the morning.

Claviers is an ancient Provencal hilltop village close to neighbouring villages like Bargemon, Callas, Seillans and Fayence. Resorts at the Cote d'Azur like Cannes, Frejus, Ste Maxime and St Tropez are within easy reach all less than an hours drive. Nice airport is approx. an hours drive away also. A nice alternative to get to St Tropez is to drive to Ste Maxime and go by boat from there. There are some lovely Provencal markets in the area like the one in Le Muy on Sundays and a smaller one on Thursdays, Callas on Saturdays, Claviers on Saturday morning and the famous St Tropez market on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Several golf courses are nearby including the world renowned Terra Blanche course at the Four Seasons resort, the Gorges du Verdon is less than an hours drive to the north. Lac de St Cassien is only a 20-30 min. drive away. The whole area is very picturesque and is ideally located for those who like to visit the many surrounding vineyards olives groves & restaurants

Golf: There are many superb golf courses nearby, namely The Terre Blanche Course and Four Seasons Resort in Fayence, Chateau Taulane (closed between October and mid Apri), St. Endreol in Le Muy; Roquebrune Golf, Vallescure in St. Raphael and Cannes/ Mougins Golf. These are just a few of many. These golf courses are highly recommended by the many golfers in Claviers.

Ski: There are a few good ski resorts within 1h- 2hrs from Claviers, namely Greoulieres (ideal for families), Col D'Allos, Auron and Isola 2000
