Two x 3 bedroom aircon apts,sleep up to 8/ 9, centrally located in a quiet area.

Both apartments Sole & Querce are sunny, spacious, furnished to a very high standard and well equipped with air-con, hydrotherapy bath & a garage. A large terrace surrounds the apartments and a communal garden area is outside with flowerbeds, fountain & parking places. Only a few minutes walk from the CCI, Cambridge Institute, Athena and from the Medieval centre of Lanciano, ancient town of art, music, traditions and fairs.10 min drive from the sea (Costa de Trabocchi) , 30 min drive from ski resorts & the mountains (Parco della Maiella) and from The Miglianico Golf and Country Club-par 72. There are also many more other places of interest around including the hilltop village of Guardiagrele, Lago di Bomba (featuring canoeing in 2009 Mediterranean Games) and little touristic coastal villages and towns such as S. Giovanni in Venere, Vasto, ...The owners' house is located five minutes walk from the apartments so advice and help are available, if needed. Airport transfer can be provided

Apartment Querce is on the 2nd floor next to Apartment Sole. There is a lift. It has a large terrace surrounding it with ample spaces for relaxing and having leisurely meals and evening drinks. There are deckchairs, garden chairs and a table seating for 8 . You can also use the large communal garden area outside (three thousand squared metres) with flowerbeds and fountain where children can play. There is ample parking all around the building. A garage is also available.Three mountain bicycles, four beach chairs and one beach umbrella are provided. The apartment is not hot in the summer because it is air conditioned and the terrace is protected with awnings. The nearest supermarket and a gym with indoor pool are only a 5 minute walk. Pescara airport is only 35 minutes drive away. Ancona airport is 2 1/2 hour drive away. Rome airports are a 2 1/2 hour drive away. Lanciano is very conveniently located in the Frentan area. The costa dei Trabocchi is over 60 km long and includes many small bays and coves where you can enjoy a swim in safe, clean waters. Pescara and Vasto resorts are a 50 min drive. There are many hilltop villages to visit like Grotte del Cavallone, Roccascalegna, Bocca di Valle, Pennadomo, Pizzoferrato, Gessopalena, Fara San Martino famous for the pasta makers De Cecco and Del Verde. In Lago di Casoli and Lago di Bomba (featuring canoeing in 2009 Mediterranean Games) you can go fishing. They are only 15/20 min drive away. The Miglianico Golf and Country Club, designed by Ronald Kirby, an American architect is only 30 minutes drive away.This club, featuring Mediterranean Games on 29/30 June and 1/3 July 2009, includes a club-house, bar & restaurant, swimming pool and a 18 holes course (par 72). Winter sports resorts are Passo Lanciano (30 mns drive away) Roccaraso(1 h drive) Capracotta for cross country skiing (50 min drive away)

Just Like Home....

My parents & myself stayed in apartment Sole from September 1st to the 15th. The apartment is very spacious & very clean! We enjoyed the large wrap around balcony. My parents were born in a small town beside Lanciano & my mother has not been back to Italy since she was a very young girl. We decided to rent an apartment as we wanted comfort, space & privacy. WE got that and more at the apartment Sole, we were very happy with staying the 2 weeks in Lanciano. We are very familar with Lanciano as I have been about 8 times & my father returned 3 times.

Lanciano is a wonderful historic town, with many great places to eat. The food in the region of Chieti is fabulous!

I made the booking arangements with Francesca via e-mails & she was very helpful & sincere. Upon our arrival we met her husband Diego whom was very kind & informative. In case of anything during our stay he gave his mobile number, we didn't need to contact him during our stay as we had everything we needed.

There are great shops in Lanciano, & near the apartment just below in the building next door is a fabulous wood oven pizzaria called Santa Maria. Amazing Pizza & very inespensive, there is also a bar next door with coffee & cornetti's. If you have a chance go around the corner to Rene's, fabulous cornetti & the best pastries ever!

I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who is interesting in staying in Lanciano.

"In the August 2010 we have spent 2 wonderful weeks in this apartment. It is super beautifully decorated and very clean and we felt very comfortable. It is very well equipped.
We were 3 adults and 4 children, the apartment was ideal and big enough.
We come for many years to lanciano there is a great city and there are beautiful beaches.
I can definitely recommend this apartment we felt like at home.
Also this year we spend our summer again in this apartment.
The owners are very nice and helpful.

Superb apartment

We stayed in Francesca and Diego's apartment for 2 weeks in June 2011, the apartment was exceptional in every way, clean, modern , spacious and had everything we could have wished for. The provision of all of the essential and some non essential items was very thoughtful. We had not stayed in an apartment in Italy before and were suprised just how peaceful it was. It is accurately described on thev Holiday Rentals site. Good local shops are close by, butcher, baker, greengrocer and deli, and good restaurants and the historic town centre were a 15 minute stroll away. The nearby beaches and coastline are beautiful and the water is really clear. We visited many of the small villages on the coast and in the mountains, all of which were pretty and interesting and non touristy. All in all a wonderful apaertment in a beautiful, unspolied part of Italy.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Wonderful Apartment in a good location

We spent a wonderful week in September at this well equipped and clean apartment. Located in a residential part of town within easy walking distance of the town centre. There were numerous restaurants and cafes to choose from. We were lucky to be there at festival time, which made for lively evenings in the town square. The apartment itself had everything you need, it was very comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing on the outside terraces. There was a supermarket a couple of minutes walk away, also a cafe and pizza takeaway opposite the apartment which we could certainly recommend. Francesca was most helpful and this apartment was full of local information. Would definitely return there in the future.

Refurbished and delicate flat .

We ,a family of 6 from Norway,stayed in Lanciano one hot week in july 2010 The flat was cool because it was well equipped with air-con, and the large terrace surrounding the hole flat made it possible to eat outside though it was hot. The flat had TV in each room,which was very popular for the youths (age 15-20).The charming medieval centre of Lanciano was a nice stroll away and the young ones used the bicycles. We visited some nice beaches along Costa de Trabocchi 15-20 min drive away. This part of Italy has not so many foreign tourists, so the beaches were clean and not crowded.The owners were very helpfull and the flat had å lot of local maps,books and brochures.For us it was to hot for sightseeing, but the location must be perfect for visiting the aera in spring and autum.
