Villa Sophia is on a small complex of 23 villas, right in the centre of Yalikavak. It is in a flat area making it ideal for push chairs and the less able. It is less than 10 minutes stroll to the sandy beach and village centre. Here you will find a beautiful old, unspoilt harbour with a variety of shops and restaurants. It is set in landscaped gardens and shares a large swimming pool and separate children's pool with the other villas on this small complex. The villa sits at the edge of the development and has beautiful views of the surrounding hills and mandarin groves from its large roof top terrace and first floor balcony. It is west facing and so gets the evening sun. The villa is beautifully finished to a very high standard. As it is used as our own holiday home it is better equipped than would be expected. We have decorated it with original paintings and artwork, giving it that special touch. It has plenty of wardrobe and other storage space.

Yalikavak is a traditional Turkish fishing village on the northern (quieter and less commercialised) coast of the Bodrum Peninsula. It has yet to appear in the mainstream travel brochures and so is a perfect retreat for those more discerning of travellers, looking for a quieter holiday but in easy reach of the hustle and bustle of Bodrum. It is well served by the local bus service with routes to all the resorts on the peninsula.There is no need for car hire unless you want to explore further afield. Although Yalikavak has it's own sandy beaches you might want to explore some of the others nearby. There are so many that you hardly need visit the same one twice. Yalikavak itself has some wonderful restaurants, naturally specialising in local seafood. There are many other restaurants easily accessible around the coast. There are also many bars in Yalikavak, but for more active night life visit some of the nearby neighbouring resorts.

    The villa will be cleaned and prepared for your arrival, including making up the beds. Towels are provided for your use in the villa only. Please bring your own swimming towels. The linen and towels will be replaced with fresh ones after the first week, for two week stays.

    Departure time 10AM.
    Our local managers will meet you to hand over the keys. They will visit you most days and take care of all your holiday needs.
  • 25% of rental charge to be paid at the time of booking. Full balance of rental due two months prior to start date of holiday.
    There is a refundable deposit of £300 held against loss or damage.
    CANCELLATION
    Cancellation prior to payment of full balance - no return of deposit.
    Cancellation after payment of full balance - no refund.
    We would strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover any cancellations.

  • On the first floor the master (double) bedroom has an en suite shower room and its own private balcony. Relaxing chairs and a table are provided making it a lovely place to finish the day, particularly as it benefits from the evening sun.The second bedroom provides twin accommodation. The third bedroom has a set of full size bunk beds. There is also a fold up bed, if required, for a seventh person and a full sized cot (not a travel cot). There is plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, as well as lots of coat hangers.

Notes: Downstairs there is a large open plan living space providing a well equipped kitchen area with barbecue terrace, dining area with large dining table and chairs as well as sitting room. There is a large ground floor terrace leading out from the sitting room which provides a lovely outdoor eating area. As the villa is set back a little from the pool, this is very private and not overlooked. The stairs lead up further to the spacious roof top terrace with spectacular panoramic views. This is furnished with large cushions and a low table in the 'Turkish Corner' style. EQUIPMENT FOR YOUNG CHILDREN/BABIES We understand the difficulties of travelling with young children/babies, especially with the current luggage restrictions.To this end, we provide the following items: Baby cot (with linen),high chair,children's crockery/cutlery, potty. We can supply nappies on request (extra charge payable locally).

Travel: Fly direct to Bodrum from many UK airports. Or fly to Bodrum via Istanbul with Turkish Airlines. NEW! Easyjet will start flying from Gatwick direct to Bodrum on 23 April, right through to 24 October. The transfer time to Yalikavak is only 45 minutes, making it ideal if traveling with young children. We can arrange airport transfers for you through Simply Villa Management, who look after our villa for us. The Bodrum Peninsula has a wonderful bus (dolmus) service with regular buses serving all the different resorts. A car is therefore unnecessary. If you really want to explore though, it is easy to arrange car hire either in advance, via the internet, or locally.

Other information: Sun loungers and umbrellas are provided for your use.There are also some pool inflatables and beach toys. There is plenty of parking on the development. There is also 24 hour security. We can organise AIRPORT TRANSFERS for you. For those with late flights home, luggage can be stored in the security office (we can accept no liability for this).It may be possible to check out of the villa later, for a local fee, if there are no incoming guests. Swimming pool open from 1 April to 31 October.

Our stay in the villa was great! It was clean and nicely decorated, and everything we needed for our stay was in the villa! Norman and Dawn were great for telling us about some of the great areas in and around Yalikavak! The villa was within easy reach (10-15min walk) of the bus station, port, beach, restaurants and shopping...a truly great location..and unlike most villa resorts in Yalikavak, this one was on flat ground, so there was no need for much uphill walking to get anywhere!

Very spacious with comfortable beds. Clean and tidy. Useful having a dishwasher and washing machine. Convenient location for the town and beach.
