Secluded in a wooded valley, two miles from the Royal Town of Caernarfon lies the exquisite family run country park Glan Gwna. Set in over 100 acres of woodland and parkland grounds, Glan Gwna offers you the perfect 'get away' location.Located between Snowdonia National Park and the golden beaches of the Lleyn Peninsula, Glan Gwna is the ideal base from which to experience all the riches that North Wales has to offer - all within easy reach. Majestic Snowdonia is but a short drive away. There are castles, historic houses. gardens, superb scenery, the Isle of Anglesey, countryside & golden beaches all on the doorstep.Glan Gwna has a heated outdoor pool (seasonal), shop, takeaway,fishing lake (small fee), There is a poolside bar serving drinks and meals, an adult only bar and a family club with disco and entertainment (seasonal). The chalet is home from home and you will find everything you need. You look out onto a waterfall and is very private where it is. You won't be dissapointed.

Nearest Ferry: anglesey at 25 Miles
Nearest Train: bangor at 8 Miles
Nearest Beach: Dinas Dinelle at 5 Miles

There is plenty to do in and around caernarfon. It is only a short drive away from beaches, tourist attractions, castles, and many more. Some lovely places to visit are Portmeirion, Snowdon mountain railway, Greenwood forest Park, welsh mountain zoo, Betws-y-coed, conwy, llandudno, there is to many to mention. The furthest I would say is half hour drive. There is a piggery pottery where children and adults can go on a pottery wheel and then paint your creation.There is also a local sports centre with a swimming pool and many more things to do if the weather isn't at its best. Your only 2 miles away from Caernarfon centre where the famous Caernarfon castle is. You can have a tour inside for a small fee, there is also shops and places to eat nearby. There are some lovely beaches a short drive away, Dinas Dinelle is probably the closest, about 10-15 mins, then there is black rock sands in Porthmadog which is about 25 mins but is well worth it. Anglesey is about 25 mins away.

Notes: Chalet is really home from home, equipped with everything you will need on your holiday break. Fully equipped kitchen including kettle, toaster, microwave, oven, George foreman, grill. It is all electric which is payable in the meter in corner of chalet which takes £1 coins . There is a fold down table with 4 chairs in living area. It has sky tv (free to air channels only ). Outside the chalet is a table and 4 chairs where you can have a BBQ if you wish and has a waterfall you look upon. It is a very private area as no one needs to walk past, there is 3 chalets in a row and I'm the middle one. Lovely and peaceful for a relaxing break. The chalet is suitable for families and the elderly. This is a non smoking chalet. Regarding wheelchairs, I am not 100% sure, outside is suitable as there are no steps but I'm not sure about the doorways in chalet.

A perfect place in Wales!

I can just say "perfect" to describe this lovely, clean and very well placed home holiday home. And also with a good price for a week. It was incredible to took breakfast or tea in the garden seeing the fall, and walk around the lake, which is behind the house.
In addition, it's just 5 minutes by car to Caernarfon centre and you have all the services you need: launderette, restaurant, supermarket, children park, and so on.
Our son, who is 6, had a lot of fun every day with the ducks which were in the lake, and also fishing!
It's perfect for couples or families who wants to stay in calm, but near Caernarfon where you have a lot to see.
It was very easy to contact with the owner, who helped us a lot sending indications about how to find the home and information in a fast and efficient way.
I strongly recommend you to stay in this pretty holiday home.

We have recently enjoyed a lovely stay at this Chalet. It had everything we needed and was set in a beautiful location...you feel like your away from it all, yet your so close to everything. We will be going back.
