This new luxury condo is quiet, private and located in a more adult residential style complex. There is only one other couple sharing the landing on our floor.
This is our 3rd month-long visit to this condo. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning again year after year. We call this our second home.
We have been staying at Gene and Charlie's condo since they have owned it. I can't think of a better and more lovely place to spend our Thanksgiving holiday! It is truly gorgeous and has everything you could want. Can't wait to return! If you are thinking of staying here don't hesitate! Mahalo for another wonderful visit to our home away from home!
We stayed 8 days in this condo. It was very quiet and nice. We didn't hear a peep out of any other units. The amenities were great!! Only thing I missed was AC at night. We prepared most of our meals and used the BBQ by the pool. The pool area is very nice and relaxing! One thing we all enjoyed was that there were no kids running around. Highly recommend it to all our friends.
Our daughter met Gene on an Alaska Airlines flight in Oregon & put us in touch with Gene & Charlie. We are very happy that she did because we enjoyed every moment of our stay. We enjoyed freshly prepared breakfasts & dinners sitting on the patio savoring the ever changing view. We visited Volcanoes National Park, the Mauna Kea Volcano Visitor Center, Captain Cook monument & some incredible waterfalls & beaches. 6 days was not enough. Could have stayed 6 months! Will definitely return to Gene & Charlie's condo if it is available. It was worth making the journey from Florida to stay there.

This is our 5th time staying here and we look forward to it each year. Gene and Charlie go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Every time we have come there has been something new--patio furniture, kitchen utensils, bed, etc. The condo has a fantastic view and we enjoy spending our time on the lanai, listening to the crashing waves. We would recommend this to everyone, without hesitation...unless they take the time that we plan to stay!!
Traveled with my girlfriend to the Big Island and we picked this lovely condo for our stay. The location of Alii Vilas was ideal for our Big Island exploration and the condo itself was spectacular. The unit has been renovated with great attention to detail and provided every amenity that one would need for an extended stay on the Big Island. The property owner was prompt and responded to any questions we had during our stay. The view from the lanai was amazing. We enjoyed breakfast there in the morning and had the pleasure of seeing a pod of dolphins splashing around not too far from the condo. I would highly recommend a stay here for anyone traveling to the Big Island!! Look forward to my next visit!!
