El Capistrano Village Vacation Rental apartment: Capistrana Pueblo. Nerja.

In previous years I have always booked a package holiday so this was my first experience of booking accommodation and flights independently. I did have my reservations before I arrived as the contact person Tony did sometimes appear vague on the phone, however he always e-mailed promptly with confirmation of my booking and also organised a taxi at a competitive rate which was waiting at the airport when we arrived. My concerns were unjustified as we arrived to find a lovely clean modern apartment with breathtaking views over Nerja and with a stunning sea view. The apartment was very well equipped with kitchen utensils, the bedding was very fresh and beds changed once a week, if I had to mention one criticism - the towels provided were quite small and looked like they were quite old.
The facilities on the urbanization were second to none. -the pool and surrounding area were lovely, clean and the best bit of all was no matter what time you arrived at the pool there were always plenty of sun beds available. There was a small fee to hire the loungers 2.50 euro per day but I did not mind if it meant you would always be guaranteed to get one. The apartment was 20-25 minute walk into town, I love walking so this was not a problem however it wasn't the most picturesque of walks, we always took a taxi home which was 7euro no matter where you travelled in Nerja. The walk to Burriana beach usually took 15-20 mins, this was a pleasant downhill walk, we didn't ever attempt to walk back and again always took a taxi home. Whilst we stayed in the apartment we had a problem with a blocked toilet - Tony and the owner Adrian immediately came out and within an hour the blockage was cleared, we never had another problem so I think it was a one off. I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family and would not hesitate in returning to El Capistrano and enjoying the lovely village, pool, restaurant bar and visiting the lovely town of Nerja.
