This home is part of The Home Collection--Charlotte's Boutique Furnished Residences. TheHomeCollectionCLT.com
Luxe ground floor condo with wonderful screened porch, plush furnishings and original artwork. Two bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom, make this a true alternative to 2 hotel rooms. The sofa converts to a comfortable (really!) queen bed.
The new kitchen is fully equipped to prepare gourmet meals, with a convection oven, gas range and french-door refrigerator. Flatscreen televisions in both bedrooms and the living room provide entertainment options. 400 threadcount linens and comfortable mattresses ensure a good night's rest.
The dining area seats 6.
A full-size stackable washer and dryer is included, as is complimentary wideband wifi (up to 50 mbps).
Perhaps the best feature is the screened porch, ideal for paper-reading and coffee in the morning, a summer nap in the afternoon, or evening cocktails.
Less than 2 miles to Uptown (Panthers Stadium, Bobcats Arena, museums, etc) the central location provides unmatched convenience to SouthPark mall, CMC and Presbyterian hospitals, with easy interstate access to Lowes Motor Speedway, US National Whitewater Center, etc.

My husband James and I travel extensively, and prefer to stay in furnished residences rather than hotels. We started our business, The Home Collection, after a trip to Istanbul, where we stayed in an apartment in the heart of an upscale neighborhood. The tourist area was overrun with tacky gift shops, overpriced and bad restaurants, along with hundreds of cruise ship passengers, and we were thankful to be in such a quiet neighborhood, where we could enjoy restaurants, shops and food markets that only locals patronized. It gave us a real appreciation for how living in Istanbul was, its people, traditions and culture.
We love sharing our knowledge of Charlotte with our guests, whether it's a new restaurant, an art opening or a doctor referral.
I'm a 3rd generation Charlottean, and we go out of our way to ensure you have a great time in our city.
Jim Hock purchased this condo in 2012
Unbeatable location in the heart of arguably the nicest neighborhood in the city.
You'll live like a local, enjoying the walkable neighborhood, with a seasonal farmers market around the corner, an independent movie house a few blocks away, and many restaurants and shops within an easy walk.
Our home sold more quickly than we had anticipated, so we needed a place to stay until our new home was completed. This was the PERFECT place for our family of 4 to stay for the 3 months.
The screened porch was great, and we enjoyed it even on some warm February days. The location in the heart of Myers Park, one of Charlotte's best neighborhoods, can't be beat, and Jim and James' hospitality was superb. My husband works Uptown, so it was very convenient for him, less than 2 miles, and the nearby grocery and lots of restaurants made it easy for me. We enjoyed having a fully-equipped kitchen, with all utensils, etc., for meals at home, but also liked being able to walk to a wide variety of restaurants, something we'll miss in our new home.
We would highly recommend the condo to anyone needing temporary housing. They stay well-booked, but have almost 20 different condos and apartments.
The weekend I spent at this 2 bedroom, 2 bath, condo was fabulous! fabulous! fabulous! The home was as lovely a place as I've ever stayed. I so much enjoyed it. The décor is award-winning. The bed was a 10+ for sleep comfort. The food awaiting me was ALL enjoyed. And, I just LOVED the porch! (it reminded me of my family's lakehouse porch while growing up in North Alabama). I was amazed at the mirror at head level at the dining table. (You have to rent the condo to see for yourself!) And I admired the cozy and classy blankets placed throughout the house. That was a really special touch, and they were used. I especially liked having enough clothes hangers on the walls and in the bathroom. They were so high-tech too. And the RED through out the house made everything POP! It was like living in a museum, really! Or, as I like to say, experiencing a piece of Heaven in Charlotte. Plus, the grocery store was only blocks away, walks in the neighborhood were scenic and secure, and an award-winning park was very close. It was just perfect. Thank YOU for everything! Our host, Jim, made us feel so welcome. I will definitely keep these in mind for the future and will recommend these homes to anyone who needs accommodations in Charlotte. Thank you for your genuine and true Southern Hospitality! You get a Five Star rating, for sure! Blessings to you.
My wife and I, and our two young children, were in town several days to attend a wedding. This stylishly appointed, fully furnished apartment right downtown made for a perfect home away from home for us. Upon our arrival, the lights were on, soft music was playing on the stereo, and there were some groceries in a welcome basket to get us started. The apartment itself was well-stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen items to towels to bed linens (the blankets on the screened-in porch were a nice touch in the crisp fall evenings).
We've stayed at other VRBO rentals in the past, but the owner's attention to detail and excellent communication far exceeded our expectations; we'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
Over our travels, we have much preferred to stay in vrbo properties. In a recent visit to Charlotte, we stayed in this wonderful 2BR/2BA first floor condo which is in close proximity to all that Charlotte offers. The place was roomy with comfortable seating and had all the amenities needed for a short or long stay. The property was spotless, the mattresses were comfortable, and the towels were plentiful. The screened in porch was an added bonus! We were welcomed with wine and goodies, an extra plus! Highly recommended!
What a Great place to stay! Very well decorated and furnished! Owners are eager to please and very welcoming! You'll feel at home as soon as you arrive with the welcome basket of fruit, snacks, etc. along with wine and spirits. It doesn't get any better than this!
We stayed at this property for our annual college roommate reunion. The condo is in a fabulous, old walking neighborhood. Restaurants and shopping are nearby. Downtown is less than 10 minutes away. The apartment is clean with comfortable beds. The owners are welcoming and even texted us when we arrived, along with continuing to text us with a nearby restaurant recommendation for that evening. The decor is hip...how they pulled off contemporary Asian with vintage, I have no idea! The apartment complex is old, so you can hear faint footsteps above and the outer door opening and shutting. However, the bedrooms were really quiet and the complex is a quiet, sedate building. I would definately recommend this location and/or renting from the owners again. 10 thumbs up (there were 5 of us staying there)!
We stayed 1 week @ 500 Queens Road, and wish we could have stayed longer! The condo was perfect, sporting 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Contemporary decor enveloped us, but with a home touch that defies description. We quickly adopted it as, "our place"!!! Easy access, intimate screened porch, and all the
welcoming ammenities: wine, spaghetti dinner, coffee...need we say more? We look forward to our next trip to Charlotte knowing that we are welcomed at Queens Road. We have traveled extensively and find this special space to be at the top of our list!!!
Lovely walkable neighborhood, with dozens of restaurants within an easy walk, and a seasonal farmers market around the corner. Myers Park is Charlotte's finest, in-town neighborhood, just 2 miles from Uptown.
