Guestbook comments from the owner

We are an English family with two children aged 11 and 3. Prior to 2003 we had often holidayed in the south of France and particularly loved the variety and convenience of the Alpes Maritime region - we just LOVE visiting just as often as time permits!

Adam Williams purchased this villa in 2003

When searching for a property in the area we just knew this one was right straight away, the utterly breathtaking views together with the size of the plot, the pool and the layout of the house along with its location in relation to the coast, Nice airport, Cannes, Monaco, the ski slopes and not forgetting the abundance of stunning villages and being on the door step of a national park - what more could we want!

The blend of views, location, size, convenience and ambience are truly unique.

The property is beautiful, clean and ideally located. Nestled in-between two picturesque villages and close to the coast it was perfect for us. Our kids loved the pool, table tennis and table football and we loved the breath taking views. Adam, the owner, was helpful and informative as was Elizabeth who greeted us on arrival and showed us around. Within striking distance of Cannes, Nice, Antibes and Monaco and well served by supermarkets and shops locally although a car is a must. We had a lovely meal a restaurant in the centre of Le Broc and all the locals were really friendly. I highly recommend this property and we are very likely to return. My wife and kids enjoyed the nearby Marineland while I snuck off for a beer in Antibes and there is loads more left to explore. Richard Routledge

This is the best holiday house we have ever rented, and I would recommend it to anyone. As soon as we entered, we looked straight through the living room windows to the spectacular Alpine scenery beyond, and were amazed! The house is spacious, beautifully designed, very clean, well equipped and tastefully furnished. The pool and outdoor areas are splendid, and join together much better than the photographs suggest, with the pool being very close to the main terrace, linked by a conservatory area, so wet children could come from pool to terrace without dripping all over the kitchen and main living space. The kitchen was also close to the terrace, so outdoor dining was easy - in fact we loved the terrace so much that we never ate indoors at all, though the dining and living room space is huge, and the fabulous views can still be enjoyed from the inside, due to the large windows onto the terrace. Our teenage daughter made her own little home in the rooms at the top of the house and claimed the fabulous roof terrace for herself. Our younger daughter slept in a generous twin room downstairs, and we had the master bedroom next to the main bathroom, also downstairs. The layout of the house separates the bedroom areas from the main living area very well, so if a larger group was staying, it would be possible for individuals to get some peace and quiet. Everything in the laundry area and the kitchen worked perfectly. The fridge was very efficient and kept the drinks icy cold, and there was a great coffee machine that I wanted to take home with me! We enjoyed the pool, which gets the sun all day, and the table tennis and boules were also great fun to play. But mostly, we just relaxed on the terrace and enjoyed that fabulous view! We were so relaxed and happy in the house that we didn't get out much, and we hardly used our car. The pretty villages of Carros and Le Broc are both easy walking distance, so we walked down to Carros each morning and bought fresh bread, cheese, fruit and other provisions from the Proxy mini-market, and we dined out in Carros at Creperie du Moment, which was amazing, and at the pizzeria, Lou PoumPouille which was also very good. In Le Broc we enjoyed eating at a French restaurant called L'Estragon. Walking home in the dark, we saw shooting stars. Next time, perhaps we'll find the energy to visit Nice, but the house is so comfortable and relaxing, we didn't really want to be away from it! We had an absolutely wonderful holiday.

I cannot speak highly enough about both Adam Williams and his beautiful home near Carros Village. Dealing with Adam was so free of stress. He is extremely responsive to emails and to phone calls. I'm always nervous sending deposits online without knowing if there's really a house or a person on the other end of the transaction. However, my communications with Adam totally put me at ease. He went so far beyond what was expected of him, even permitting me to use his address to get train tickets mailed to the house a month before our arrival so as to get local French discounts. Adam took all my requests in his stride and I felt that I was dealing with a friend.

The house itself is just beautiful. My wife and I (and 3 young kids) have stayed in private vacation rentals many times in Mexico and the United States, and we do feel that our expectations are high. This house exceeded all expectations. The views are indescribable. We spent our wedding anniversary (after we put the kids to sleep) on the upper level patio with cheese and wine and saw the most beautiful sunset that we have ever seen. The accommodations were terrific, although I would warn that the 3rd bedroom is accessible by a very tight spiral staircase. The swimming pool was a wonderful reprieve when we needed some downtime. The biggest problem is that there are so many wonderful things to do on the Cote D'Azur that we didn't get to spend much time at the pool.

The house is wonderfully located, It's an easy drive from everything that we wanted to see in the region, from St-Paul-De-Vence to Nice to Eze to Monte Carlo. Exploring the local village of Carros was among our trip highlights. It is such a beautiful hilltop village that hasn't been modernized in 600 years! Be sure to try out Crêperie du Moment for the most delicious crepes!

We can't thank Adam enough for all he did for us and for how easy and memorable he helped make our vacation. My wife and I cannot wait to return to this very beautiful part of the world and to Adams beautiful home. It is without reservation that I recommend both Adam and his home.

We stayed in this beautiful villa for one week in May. My husband & I invited our son & his wife & 2 boys aged 3 yrs. & 6 months to join us for the week.
It was difficult to believe that this villa could be as perfect as it looked in the pictures but it was even better than we expected. We were very concerned about sending the damage deposit but as it turned out, Adam returned it to our account just a few days after we left.
The villa is located in a very central location where you can drive for the day to such places as Nice, Monaco, Cannes, Antibes, St. Paul de Vence, Italy and the list goes on and on. One of the smaller towns, Carros Village is minutes away and my son who is a Roman Archeologist felt that it was one of the most interesting well preserved towns he has seen.
The villa is extremely well furnished, large enough to really spread out inside and outside. We didn't really want to eat in much but everything necessary to cook meals is available. The Wifi works extremely well. We could even reach our daughter in Canada using Facetime or Skype. We didn't have much time to watch TV but they do have plenty of channels. The pool area looked so inviting but the weather wasn't the best for swimming. I don't know that we would have had much time to use the pool anyway because there is so much to see and do just a short distance in every direction. Even the grandchildren enjoyed the places that we took them to. The 3yr. old really enjoyed returning to the villa because there was so much room to spread out & play.
Adam gives a lot of information regarding how to use their shower, washer/dryer, indoor BBQ etc. before we got there I was a bit concerned about so much information but once you are there it all makes sense.
His neighbour takes care of the villa & she is a very welcoming, friendly lady.
The one and only shower posed NO PROBLEMS. WE TOOK TURNS.

My husband & I had difficulty finding the place even with all of the directions & using our address finding Garmin but our son punched in the neighbour's address & it took them there without a problem. I'm a French Canadian from Western Canada and was hoping to experience a dream trip to the South of France. I have to say that EVERYONE we met was extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome. This was better than any dream trip I could have hoped for & though we never expected to ever go back to France, it is now a MUST.
Thanks Adam for sharing your wonderful villa with us.

I, my wife and our Yorkie did stay in this nice villa for 8 days in April 2013
Everything was as advertised
Fantastic view, fresh mountain air, very quiet, clean comfortable house.
We was met by Elisabeth(houskeeper) as agreed, she did show us the house, handed the keys.
Before our arrival Adam provided us with full info about area places to visit etc.
We did walk to both villages Le Broc and Carros village. It takes 20 min approx one way
Both places must see especialy Carros.
Carros has small supermarket owned by italien french family which has all basic products you need for short stay, so we just one time Visit bigger shop Intermarche near the bridge and all the time on the way back home from Nice
we did stop in Carros and bought missing things.
After full day in Nice, Cannes and surrounding we did always liked to come back home,to have glass of vine on terrace overlooking Vally and enjoing dinner.
Weather was good but it April is to early to use pool.
I suggest this place for people who like to relax and enjoy the home atmosphere in beatiful surroundings
Adam thanks you!
We definitelly will come back in future
If you looking on this review do not hesitate and book it, you will enjoy your stay.
